Omschrijving
KOETSHUIS behorende tot de buitenplaats Oud-Poelgeest. Links van de oprijlaan staat een 19de-eeuws (ca.1867) bakstenen koetshuis met de voorgevel naar het hoofdgebouw (zuidoost) gekeerd. Het op T-vormige grondslag opgetrokken pand met gepleisterde plint bestaat uit een dwars geplaatst voorhuis van twee bouwlagen onder een met pannen gedekt schilddak en een stal van één bouwlaag onder een met pannen gedekt zadeldak; onder de daklijst gemetselde klossen. De gevels kennen een regelmatige vensterindeling met licht getoogde vensters en hardstenen onderdorpels. Het voorhuis heeft een rechthoekige houten dakruiter met vensters, een lijst op klossen en een met geschulpte leien (coquette) gedekt tentdak met bekroning. De voorgevel heeft een verhoogd middenrisaliet, die keperboogvormig is afgesloten, ook het muurwerk van de kopse gevels heeft deze beëindiging. In de middenrisaliet een licht getoogde en omlijste dubbele inrijdeur geflankeerd door een venster met ruitroeden, daarboven een licht getoogd en omlijst luik eveneens geflankeerd door een venster met ruitroeden, in de top een loden paardenhoofd, die zich ook boven de gelijkvormige inrijdeuren aan weerszijden van de risaliet bevindt. In de kopse gevels één vensteras. De loden beeldengroep van drie paardenhoofden boven de huidige entree (zijgevel) vormde oorspronkelijk de bekroning de achtergevel. Thans in gebruik als receptie/restaurant, inwendig geheel vernieuwd.

COACH HOUSE belonging to the country estate Oud-Poelgeest. To the left of the access road stands a 19th-century (circa 1867) brick coach house with the front facade facing the main building (southeast). The building erected on a T-shaped ground plan with plastered plinth consists of a transversely placed front house of two storeys under a hipped roof covered with tiles and a stable of one storey under a gabled roof covered with tiles; under the eaves mortared corbels. The facades feature a regular window arrangement with slightly arched windows and hard stone sills. The front house has a rectangular wooden roof monitor with windows, a moulding on corbels and a tent roof covered with sculpted slates (coquette) with a crest. The front facade has a raised central risalit, which is finished in a basketweave-arch manner, the brickwork of the gable facades also has this termination. In the central risalit a slightly arched and framed double carriage entrance flanked by a window with glazing bars, above it a slightly arched and framed shutter likewise flanked by a window with glazing bars, at the top a leaden horse head, which also appears above the similar carriage entrances on either side of the risalit. In the gable facades one window bay. The leaden sculptural group of three horse heads above the current entrance (side facade) originally formed the crest of the rear facade.
