Omschrijving onderdeel 4: DUIVENTOREN behorende tot recreatiepark en voormalige buitenplaats Te Werve.
Op vierkante grondslag opgetrokken bakstenen duiventoren in renaissance-stijl gebouwd met een circa 43 cm dikke onderbouw van zogenaamde Rijswijkse steen uit circa 1450 en een circa 33 cm dikke bovenbouw vermoedelijk daterend uit 1590, zoals de zandstenen gevelsteen aangeeft. De onderbouw van zachte lichtrode en gele steen is bij een restauratie in 1969 met een halfsteens beschermlaag bekleed. De toren bestaat uit twee bouwlagen en een duivenzolder onder een met rode pannen gedekt kruisvormig zadeldak. De vier gevels van de toren eindigen in een voluutgevel waarin in piramidevorm de duivengaten zijn uitgespaard. In de noordwestgevel bevindt zich de getoogde houten toegangsdeur met ijzerbeslag en links daarvan een venster. De gevels zijn voorzien van een getoogd vensterlicht op de eerste verdieping en een kloosterkozijn op de tweede verdieping. In de zuidwestgevel bevindt zich op de begane grond ook nog een kloosterkozijn.

De DUIVENTOREN is van algemeen belang:

Description
Description component 4: DOVECOTE belonging to recreation park and former country estate Te Werve.
Brickwork dovecote constructed on a square ground plan in renaissance style built with an approximately 43 cm thick base of so-called Rijswijk stone from circa 1450 and an approximately 33 cm thick upper structure presumed to date from 1590, as indicated by the sandstone facing stone. The base of soft light-red and yellow stone was clad with a half-brick protective layer during a restoration in 1969. The tower consists of two storeys and a pigeon loft under a cross-shaped gabled roof covered with red tiles. The four facades of the tower end in a scroll gable in which the pigeon holes are cut out in pyramid form. In the northwest facade is located the arched wooden entrance door with iron fittings and to its left a window. The facades are provided with an arched window light on the first floor and a cloister window on the second floor. In the southwest facade there is also a cloister window on the ground floor.
