Omschrijving onderdeel 2.
PARKAANLEG, bestaande uit
a. borgklip;
b. oprijlaan;
c. borgterrein en singels;
d. weilanden.
Ad a: op het plateau van de borgklip ligt een (nieuw ingericht) geometrisch tuintje met 4 oude leilinden langs de voorgevel van de borg; verder twee oude leifruitmuren, XVIII, loodrecht op de voorgevel, ongeveer 1.5 m. uit de zijgevels beginnend en doorlopend tot aan de zuidelijke keermuur; in elke muur een laag rond poortje om het stukje tuin erachter te kunnen bereiken.
Ad b: loodrecht op de voordeur gecentreerde as, die begint bij de weg Wierde; beplanting met oude linden in enkele rijen; puin- en grindverharding.
Ad c: het borgterrein is het gebied tussen de binnen- en de buitengracht; in de uiterste zuidwest- en zuidoosthoek, min of meer symmetrisch t.o.v. de borg, liggen resp. de dienstwoning en het schathuis (niet beschermd); tussen beide gebouwtjes ligt het meest oorspronkelijke deel van het borgterrein: een grindbaan met links en rechts brede grasbermen waarin oude linden en paardekastanjes, een korte, brede laan. In deze "laan" eindigt -loodrecht- de oprijlaan. De rest van het borg- terrein, de middeleeuwse U-vorm rond de binnengracht, heeft geen oorspronkelijke inrichting en elementen meer; alles is van de jaren vijftig van de 20ste eeuw en later; om de buitengracht loopt een smalle wandeling in de singelbeplanting; de singel wordt begrensd door een sloot evenwijdig aan de gracht.
Ad d: de weilanden om het eigenlijke borgterrein zijn opgenomen binnen het beschermde complex als visuele en functionele open ruimten, die de silhouetwerking van de buitenplaats ondersteunen.

PARK LAYOUT, consisting of
a. borg clip;
b. access drive;
c. borg grounds and bordering strips;
d. meadows.
Re a: on the plateau of the borg clip lies a (newly arranged) geometric small garden with 4 old trained lime trees along the front facade of the borg; furthermore two old trained fruit walls, 18th century, perpendicular to the front facade, beginning approximately 1.5 m. from the side facades and continuing to the southern retaining wall; in each wall a row of small round gates to access the piece of garden behind.
Re b: centered perpendicular on the front door axis, which begins at the road Wierde; planting of old linden trees in several rows; rubble and gravel surfacing.
Re c: the borg grounds is the area between the inner and outer moat; in the extreme southwest and southeast corner, somewhat symmetrically in relation to the borg, lie respectively the service dwelling and the treasure house (not protected); between both small buildings lies the most original part of the borg grounds: a gravel path with broad grass verges on the left and right in which old linden trees and horse chestnuts, a short, broad avenue. In this "avenue" the access drive ends at right angles. The rest of the borg grounds, the medieval U-shape around the inner moat, no longer has original arrangement and elements; everything is from the 1950s of the 20th century and later; around the outer moat runs a narrow path in the bordering strip planting; the bordering strip is bounded by a ditch parallel to the moat.
Re d: the meadows around the actual borg grounds are included within the protected complex as visual and functional open spaces that support the silhouette effect of the estate.
