Omschrijving onderdeel 2: (bij Zandpad 29; op de bijbehorende kaart aangegeven met nr.2) HISTORISCHE TUIN- EN PARKAANLEG behorende tot de buitenplaats Gansenhoef.
Achter het huis Gansenhoef ligt een restant van een aanleg in landschapsstijl uit ca.1870. Aan de 17de-eeuwse geometrische aanleg herinnert de huisplaats, de middenas die in de vorm van een zichtas behouden is en het tracee van de waterlopen waarin de rechthoekige omgrachting nog te herkennen is; stukken boomgaard. Het huis ligt iets van de weg af, in de 19de-eeuw bereikbaar via een flauw verlopende, gebogen oprijlaan (Topografische Militaire Kaart 1887-1892), die in 1904 door grondverkoop is verkort tot het huidige tracee: een recht pad met een scherpe bocht naar het huis. De aanleg in landschapsstijl is achter het huis gesitueerd, waarbij het reliëf en de slingerende waterpartij de meest beeldbepalende elementen vormen; enkele oude bomen (beuken, eiken, iepen en een moerascypres van ca.250 jaar). De ruimtelijke structuur berust, gezien de plaats van de koepelkamer en de situering van enkele oudere bomen, op drie zichtlijnen: in noordelijke richting over de vijverarm naar Nieuwersluis; - middenas over de heuvel aan de andere zijde van de vijver naar open weiden, thans boomgaard; - in noordoostelijke richting naar Tienhoven. Structuurbepalend is de serpetinevormige waterpartij, die oorspronkelijk doorslingerde op de aangrenzende terreinen van Otterspoor en Hogevecht; rondom een slingerend padenpatroon. Ten westen van het huis staat nog een solitaire plataan en een beuk (noordwest).

HISTORISCHE TUIN- EN PARKAANLEG behorende tot de buitenplaats Gansenhoef is van algemeen belang:

Behind Gansenhoef house lies a remnant of a layout in landscape style from c.1870. The 17th-century geometric layout is recalled by the house area, the central axis preserved in the form of a sight line and the course of the watercourses in which the rectangular moat can still be recognised; sections of orchard. The house is situated somewhat away from the road, in the 19th century accessible via a gently sloping, curved drive (Topographical Military Map 1887-1892), which in 1904 was shortened by land sales to the present route: a straight path with a sharp bend towards the house. The landscape-style layout is situated behind the house, with the relief and winding water feature forming the most image-defining elements; several old trees (beeches, oaks, elms and a bald cypress of c.250 years old). The spatial structure is based, given the position of the dome room and the location of several older trees, on three sight lines: in northerly direction over the pond arm towards Nieuwersluis; - central axis over the hill on the other side of the pond towards open meadows, now orchard; - in northeasterly direction towards Tienhoven.
