Omschrijving onderdeel 2:
PARKAANLEG, bestaande uit a. oprijlaan b. huiseiland en singel c. overig terrein.
Ad a.: de oprijlaan (tracé XVIII of ouder) loopt vanaf het Damsterdiep noordwaarts recht op de brug af over de gracht en de centraal gesitueerde voordeur; verharding van gemalen rode baksteen; beplanting met enkele rijen essen, XXc.
Ad b.: het huiseiland, XVII, ligt binnen de rechthoekige gracht; links en rechts van het huis ligt symmetrisch een rechthoekige vijver; er staan enkele oude solitairen en fruitbomen; vroeger waren hier een moestuin en een boomgaard. De nieuwe tuininrichting achter en voor het huis vallen buiten de bescherming. Om het eiland ligt een brede bomensingel met witte abelen (jaren 50, dus niet oorspronkelijk), die weer omgeven wordt door een brede sloot, de "buitengracht".
Ad c.: weilanden omsluiten het borgterrein en begrenzen aan de westzijde de oprijlaan; ten oosten van de laan ligt een groot verwilderd terrein.
N.B. De daarop aanwezige ruïnes van een steenfabriek vallen buiten de bescherming.

De PARKAANLEG is van algemeen belang:

PARK LAYOUT, consisting of a. approach drive b. house island and copse c. remaining grounds.
Re a.: the approach drive (route 18th century or older) runs from the Damsterdiep northwards straight towards the bridge over the moat and the centrally situated front door; surfacing of kilned red brick; planting with single rows of ash trees, 20th century.
Re b.: the house island, 17th century, lies within the rectangular moat; to the left and right of the house lies symmetrically a rectangular pond; there stand some old specimen trees and fruit trees; formerly there was a vegetable garden and an orchard here. The new garden layout behind and in front of the house fall outside the protection. Around the island lies a broad copse of white elms (1950s, thus not original), which is in turn surrounded by a broad ditch, the "outer moat".
Re c.: pastures enclose the estate grounds and border the approach drive on the west side; to the east of the drive lies a large overgrown area.
N.B. The ruins of a brick factory present there fall outside the protection.
