Het één verdieping hoge, deels onderkelderde KANTOORGEBOUW (1918, Engelse landhuisstijl) op nagenoeg rechthoekige plattegrond is opgetrokken in bruine baksteen op een trasraam van gesinterde baksteen en wordt gedekt door een samengestelde kap met rietdekking en oranje nokvorsten; gemetselde nokschoorsteen; op het zuidelijk dakvlak drie (1 niet-origineel) halfronde dakkapellen met halfrond achtruits venster, op het westelijk dakvlak een dakkapel met tweedelig venster (roeden verdwenen); deels niet-originele goot. De gevels worden geleed door samengestelde H-vensters met zesruits bovenlichten onder rollaag deels met luiken aan weerszijden.
In het hoekrisaliet met wolfeind links van de voorgevel (zuidzijde) twee samengestelde tweedelige H-vensters met aan weerszijden een houten luik en een brievenbus, waarboven een gevelsteen waarin `'T BOUWHUIS' en een samengesteld driedelig zesruits venster. De entree bevindt zich in het geveldeel rechts van het risaliet en bestaat uit twee houten paneeldeuren onder een houten luifel rustend op consoles waarboven een driedelig bovenlicht met glas-in-lood; twee treden hoge gemetselde stoep afgedekt met hardsteen. Rechts van de entree twee samengestelde driedelige H-vensters met houten luiken aan weerszijden.
In het risalerende linker geveldeel van de westgevel een samengesteld driedelig H-venster met vierruits bovenlichten. In het rechter geveldeel een samengesteld driedelig H-venster met aan weerszijden een luik.
In het risalerende geveldeel van de achtergevel (noordzijde) een vernieuwde deur waarvoor een niet-originele opgang, met aan de linkerzijde een samengesteld tweedelig zesruits venster (oorspronkelijk drie H-vensters) en aan de rechterzijde drie staande zesruits vensters waaronder een liggend keldervenster. Op de eerste verdieping drie samengestelde tweedelige vensters waarin glas-in-lood en gebrandschilderd glas. In het rechter geveldeel twee niet-originele staande vensters.
Tegen de oostgevel is een nieuw volume aangebouwd (niet beschermd).
In het INTERIEUR zijn ondermeer van belang: in de tochthal de plaquette waarop het bouwjaar, de naam van de architect en de namen van het dagelijks bestuur, het glas-in-lood en gebrandschilderde glas in de bovenlichten van de tochtdeuren (ontworpen door Bouvy Dordt) waarop het gemeentewapen, de vier glas-in-lood en gebrandschilderde vensters waarop afgebeeld de vier afdelingen van Gemeentewerken (plantsoenendienst, bouwafdeling, weg- en waterbouw, tekenafdeling).

The one-storey OFFICE BUILDING (1918, English country house style), partly with a basement, on an approximately rectangular footprint is constructed in brown brick on a tracer frame of sintered brick and is covered by a composite roof with reed thatch and orange ridge cresting; mortared ridge chimney; on the south roof slope three (1 non-original) half-round roof dormers with half-round rear sash window, on the west roof slope a roof dormer with two-part window (glazing bars missing); partly non-original gutter. The facades are articulated by composite H-windows with six-light fanlights under roll moulding partly with shutters on either side.
In the corner risalit with half-hipped end to the left of the front facade (south side) two composite two-part H-windows with wooden shutters and a letterbox on either side, above which a facade stone inscribed '`T BOUWHUIS' and a composite three-part six-light window. The entrance is located in the facade section to the right of the risalit and consists of two wooden panel doors under a wooden canopy supported on consoles above which a three-part fanlight with leaded glass; two-step high mortared stoep faced with hard stone. To the right of the entrance two composite three-part H-windows with wooden shutters on either side.
In the projecting left facade section of the west facade a composite three-part H-window with four-light fanlights. In the right facade section a composite three-part H-window with shutters on either side.
In the projecting facade section of the rear facade (north side) a renewed door with a non-original approach, on the left side a composite two-part six-light window (originally three H-windows) and on the right side three tall six-light windows including a recumbent basement window. On the first floor three composite two-part windows with leaded glass and stained glass. In the right facade section two non-original tall windows.
Against the east facade a new volume has been added (not protected).
In the INTERIOR the following are of particular note: in the entrance hall the plaque recording the construction year, the name of the architect and the names of the daily board; the leaded glass and stained glass in the fanlights of the entrance doors (designed by Bouvy Dordt) bearing the municipal coat of arms; the four leaded glass and stained glass windows depicting the four departments of Municipal Works (parks service, building department, road and water construction, drawing department).
