Inleiding
Vaste BRUG, "Bieuwketil" genaamd, over de Warffumermaar, waarschijnlijk uit de tweede helft van de 19de eeuw. De brug verleent toegang tot de weg naar een tweetal boerderijen die ten noordoosten ervan liggen. De brug die eigendom is van het waterschap Noorderzijlvest (voorheen Hunsingo) heeft in 1871 enkele vernieuwingen ondergaan: het westelijke landhoofd is opnieuw opgemetseld, het oostelijk landhoofd hersteld, de oude bovenregels zijn vervangen door nieuwe houten en onder de leggers zijn hardstenen draagstukken geplaatst. De leuningen zijn waarschijnlijk begin 1900 nog eens vernieuwd, want de brug heeft nu ijzeren regels in plaats van houten.
Samen met de verderop gelegen Boykema's til maakt de brug deel uit van een aantal rustiek gelegen vaste bruggen over de Warffumermaar.
Omschrijving
Vaste BRUG over de Warffumermaar bestaande uit twee in roodbruine baksteen opgemetselde landhoofden afgezet met een rollaag, verbonden door een brugdek met brugleuningen. Het brugdek heeft houten planken op ijzeren leggers (I-profiel), die op hardstenen draagstukken rusten. De beide leuningen zijn van ijzer en bestaan uit staanders, een dwarsregel en een handlijst.

Introduction
Fixed BRIDGE, called "Bieuwketil", over the Warffumermaar, probably from the second half of the 19th century. The bridge provides access to the road to two farmhouses located to the northeast of it. The bridge, which is owned by the water authority Noorderzijlvest (formerly Hunsingo), underwent some renovations in 1871: the western abutment was relaid, the eastern abutment repaired, the old top beams were replaced with new wooden ones and hard stone corbels were placed under the girders. The railings were probably renewed again at the beginning of 1900, as the bridge now has iron rails instead of wooden ones.
Together with the more distant Boykema's til, the bridge forms part of a number of rustically situated fixed bridges over the Warffumermaar.

Fixed BRIDGE over the Warffumermaar consisting of two abutments built in reddish-brown brick topped with a course, connected by a bridge deck with bridge railings.
