Omschrijving
De ROUWKAPEL (1890, Neo-Gotische stijl), op een plattegrond van een halve veelhoek, is opgetrokken in rood-bruine baksteen op een donker bakstenen trasraam, afgezet met een muizetandlijst, en wordt gedekt door een zadelschilddak met leidekking, met op de nok een piron, waartegen een tuitgevel is aangezet. Op elke hoek een steunbeer op een donker bakstenen basement met hardstenen dekplaat. In de vijf zijmuren bevinden zich spitsboognissen onder rollaag met bakstenen onderdorpel.
In de tuitgevel aan de westzijde bevindt zich centraal de entree die omlijst wordt door een spitsboog onder rollaag; in de top een korfboognis met aan weerszijden een nis onder getrapte keperboog met bakstenen onderdorpel; twee rode bakstenen bloemmotieven. Op de nok een gietijzeren windwijzer in bloemmotief.
In de achtergevel (oostzijde) bevindt zich in het trasraam een korfboognis onder rode bakstenen rollaag, die is dichtgezet; ervoor een stoep omlijst met bakstenen.
Het zes-delige kruisgewelf van het INTERIEUR bevat ribben van rode baksteen, de vlakken zijn opgevuld met gele baksteen. In de muren twee korfboog- en twee spitsboognissen, die later zijn dichtgezet. Op het rechthoekige geel/rode bakstenen altaar is een beeldengroep van natuursteen geplaatst, voorstellende Jezus aan het kruis en Maria en Johannes.

Description
The MORTUARY CHAPEL (1890, Neo-Gothic style), on a floor plan of a semi-polygon, is built in red-brown brick on a dark brick trash-frame, bordered with a dentil moulding, and is covered by a hipped gabled roof with lead covering, with a flêche on the ridge, against which a spout gable is set. On each corner a buttress on a dark brick basement with stone coping. In the five side walls are pointed arch niches under roll moulding with brick sill.
In the spout gable on the west side is centrally located the entrance which is framed by a pointed arch under roll moulding; at the top a basket-arch niche with on either side a niche under stepped herringbone arch with brick sill; two red brick flower motifs. On the ridge a cast-iron weathervane with flower motif.
In the rear facade (east side) in the trash-frame is a basket-arch niche under red brick roll moulding, which is closed; in front of it a step framed with brick.
The six-part ribbed vault of the INTERIOR contains ribs of red brick, the panels are filled with yellow brick. In the walls two basket-arch and two pointed arch niches, which were later closed. On the rectangular yellow/red brick altar is placed a sculptural group of stone, depicting Jesus on the cross and Mary and John.
