Omschrijving onderdeel 12.
De noord- en westkant van de tuin wordt afgesloten door middel van een deels achttiende-, deels negentiende-eeuwse bakstenen TUINMUUR die vijf grote hekken, vier kleine POORTEN en twee KABINETTEN bevat. De tuinmuur wordt geleed door bakstenen pilasters met een natuurstenen bekroning. De noordmuur heeft een natuurstenen afdekplaat, terwijl de westmuur is afgewerkt met een schuin geplaatste rollaag van baksteen. In de muur bevinden zich vijf grote hekken, waarvan vier identieke uit de negentiende eeuw en één in de westmuur uit de achttiende eeuw. De vier hekken bestaan uit twee hoge natuurstenen geprofileerde pijlers, bekroond door gecanneleerde siervazen met deksel. Tussen de pijlers staat een dubbel smeedijzeren spijlenhek voorzien van een bekroning waarin op sierlijke wijze een kroon en de letter B verwerkt is (van de familie Bentinck) met aan weerszijden hiervan smeedijzeren zijstukken. Het achttiende-eeuwse hek bestaat uit twee draaibare spijlen vleugels, voorzien van goudkleurige punten. De onderste rand van het hek is ingevuld met krulwerk. In de muur bevinden zich eveneens vier kleine boogvormige poorten, die in de achttiende eeuw zijn aangebracht. Op de gravures van Van der Laan en De Leth (circa 1725) staat de muur aan de noordzijde met symmetrisch geplaatste kabinetten weergegeven. De kabinetten zijn waarschijnlijk ouder (vierde kwart zeventiende eeuw) dan de muur. De twee identieke kabinetten bestaan uit vier pilasters met natuurstenen rusticabanden waartussen drie nissen. Centraal een diepe segmentvormige nis waarin een bank is geplaatst en aan weerszijden daarvan een ondiepe rondboognis met een schelpvormig motief waaronder een natuurstenen plaat.

The north and west sides of the garden are enclosed by means of a partly eighteenth-century, partly nineteenth-century brick GARDEN WALL which contains five large gates, four small DOORS and two CABINETS. The garden wall is articulated by brick pilasters with a natural stone coping. The north wall has a natural stone capping plate, while the west wall is finished with a sloping course of brick. In the wall are five large gates, of which four identical ones from the nineteenth century and one in the west wall from the eighteenth century. The four gates consist of two tall naturally-profiled stone pillars, crowned by fluted ornamental urns with lids. Between the pillars stands a double wrought-iron railing gate furnished with a crest in which, in an ornamental manner, a crown and the letter B are incorporated (from the Bentinck family) with wrought-iron side pieces on either side. The eighteenth-century gate consists of two rotating railing wings, furnished with gold-coloured points. The lower edge of the gate is filled with scrollwork. In the wall are also four small arched doors, which were installed in the eighteenth century. On the engravings by Van der Laan and De Leth (circa 1725) the wall is shown on the north side with symmetrically placed cabinets. The cabinets are probably older (fourth quarter seventeenth century) than the wall. The two identical cabinets consist of four pilasters with natural stone rustic bands between which are three niches. Centrally a deep segment-shaped niche in which a bench is placed and on either side thereof a shallow round-arched niche with a shell-shaped motif under which a natural stone plate.
