Omschrijving
De basis van de twee LANTAARNS met ZITBANKEN is een grote konische kolom van Ouderzorgsteen. Het basement van de kolom bestaat uit een bank van ongepolijst graniet, op vierkante grondslag met afgeronde hoeken.
Diagonaal in de hoeken zijn gootjes uitgehouwen. De kolom daarboven verjongt zich twee maal door middel van een granieten band. Op de top staat op een granieten dekplaatje een lantaarn met een vierkant lichthuis onder een ijzeren kapje.
Waardering
De lantaarns met zitbanken zijn architectuurhistorisch van algemeen belang als straatmeubialir in de bouwstijl van de Delftse School.
In stedebouwkundig opzicht zijn de lantaarns met zitbanken van grote betekenis vanwege de functionele en ruimtelijke relatie met de kerk en de andere onderdelen van het woonwijkje en vanwege de beeldbepalende ligging in het hart van het complex.

The basis of the two LANTERNS with BENCHES is a large conical column of Ouderzorg stone. The basement of the column consists of a bench of unpolished granite, on a square ground plan with rounded corners.
Diagonally in the corners gutters are carved out. The column above tapers twice by means of a granite band. On top stands on a granite cover plate a lantern with a square light house under an iron hood.
Assessment
The lanterns with benches are architecturally historically of general importance as street furniture in the architectural style of the Delft School.
From an urban planning perspective, the lanterns with benches are of great significance owing to the functional and spatial relationship with the church and the other components of the residential district and owing to the distinctive location in the heart of the complex.
