TUINAANLEG, in huidige vorm XIX; bestaande uit: a. huisplaats b. oostelijke tuin c. overtuin
ad a. de huisplaats, XVIII of ouder, ligt tussen de voormalige Farmsumerweg en het diep en is aan west-, zuid- en oostzijde omgeven door een sloot (de noordkant grenst dus aan het diep); een dam (zie onder 3) geeft toegang vanaf de weg; het westelijke deel van de huisplaats bestaat uit een door een singel omgeven grasveld - de plek van de verdwenen schuur; op het oostelijke deel staat het huis dat omgeven is (behalve aan de westkant) door in vierkantsverband geplante lage knotlinden (goothoogte), ong. 100 jaar oud; ze staan in een grindverharding.
ad b.: de (niet beschermde) oostelijke tuin, ligt ten oosten van de huisplaats; hier stond vroeger een deel van het tichelwerk; dit gedeelte maakt om historische redenen deel uit van het complex.
ad c.: de in landschappelijke stijl aan gelegde overtuin, XIX of ouder, omgeven door een sloot, ligt ten zuiden van de Farmsumerweg en bestaat uit twee achter elkaar liggende boomgaarden met oude hoogstamvruchtbomen; het geheel is omgeven door een brede singel van oud loofhout en (sier)heesters; er loopt een rondgaand pad. Tussen de twee boomgaarden liggen ook een singel en een symmetrische slingervijver; dit stuk singel is geplant op de lage rug, die opgeworpen is bij het graven van de vijver. Vanaf de voordeur van het huis loopt er een (in aanleg duidelijke) zichtlijn door de overtuin; in deze zichtlijn liggen achtereenvolgens, vanaf de deur gerekend: de nieuwe toegangsbrug, een sokkel (zie onder 4), een bouwvallige betonbrug (niet beschermenswaard) en een door een beukenhaag omgeven ronde kom in de tweede boomgaard. Buiten de begrenzing van de historische buitenplaats, maar direct aansluitend, loopt aan de zuid- en oostzijde een laan van paardekastanjes, XIX, die thans, gedeeltelijk, als openbaar voetpad wordt gebruikt.

GARDEN LAYOUT, in present form 19th century; consisting of: a. house grounds b. eastern garden c. upper garden
re a. the house grounds, 18th century or older, lie between the former Farmsumerweg and the depth and are surrounded on the west, south and east sides by a ditch (the north side borders the depth); a dam (see under 3) provides access from the road; the western part of the house grounds consists of a grassy field enclosed by a boundary line - the site of the demolished barn; on the eastern part stands the house which is surrounded (except on the west side) by pollard linden trees planted in square bond (gutter height), approximately 100 years old; they stand in gravel hardstanding.
re b.: the (unprotected) eastern garden, lies to the east of the house grounds; a tile-kiln formerly stood here; this section is part of the complex for historical reasons.
re c.: the upper garden laid out in landscape style, 19th century or older, surrounded by a ditch, lies to the south of the Farmsumerweg and consists of two orchards lying behind each other with old full-standard fruit trees; the whole is surrounded by a broad boundary line of old deciduous trees and (ornamental) shrubs; there is a circular path. Between the two orchards there is also a boundary line and a symmetrical serpentine pond; this section of boundary line is planted on the low ridge thrown up when the pond was dug. From the front door of the house there runs a (clearly defined in layout) sight line through the upper garden; in this sight line lie successively, measured from the door: the new access bridge, a plinth (see under 4), a dilapidated concrete bridge (not worthy of protection) and a round basin surrounded by a beech hedge in the second orchard. Outside the boundaries of the historic country estate, but directly adjoining, there runs on the south and east side an avenue of horse chestnuts, 19th century, which is currently, in part, used as a public footpath.
