Omschrijving
HEKKEN behorende tot de buitenplaats Geerestein. Bij de drie toegangslanen tot de buitenplaats staan drie oorspronkelijk identieke hekken gevormd door twee hardstenen pijlers uit ca.1830-1840 waartussen een eenvoudig 18de-eeuws smeedijzeren spijlenhek. De pijlers staan op gemetselde voeten en zijn voorzien van dekplaten met hakwerk van acanthusblad in hoog relief. De twee pijlers bij de overtuin worden bekroond door pijnappels van latere datum. Daarnaast bevindt zich een vierde toegangshek ter hoogte van de bouwhuizen (zie omschrijving onderdeel 10).

Description
GATES belonging to the country estate Geerestein. At the three approach lanes to the country estate stand three originally identical gates formed by two hard stone pillars from c.1830-1840 between which a simple 18th-century wrought-iron spilebar gate. The pillars stand on built-up bases and are provided with cap plates with acanthus leaf work in high relief. The two pillars at the fruit garden are crowned by pinecones of later date. Adjacent to this is a fourth entrance gate at the level of the farm buildings (see description component 10).
