Inleiding.
De KORTGEVELBOERDERIJ 'De Geldersche Hoeve' maakt deel uit van een complex van boerderij met schuur, dat omstreeks 1910 werd gesticht in de ontginning bij de Aa of Goorloop. De boerderij staat met de nokas haaks op de ontsluitingsweg, en parallel aan de genormaliseerde beek. In 1973 is de voorstal verbouwd.
Daarbij werden met name in de zuidelijke zijgevel kleine wijzigingen aangebracht.
Omschrijving.
De langgerekte boerderij telt één bouwlaag en wordt gedekt door een mansardedak met muldenpannen. De schoorsteen op het zuidelijke dakschild markeert de schouw in de keuken; die op het noordelijke dakschild de schouw in de slaapkamer. Het woonhuis is gesitueerd in het westelijke deel van het pand; het bedrijfsgedeelte in het oostelijke deel. De gevels zijn opgetrokken in baksteen; de voorgevel is voorzien van gietijzeren sierankers, een gepleisterde plint en dito banden. De symmetrische voorgevel telt drie vensterassen.
Een in een ondiep portiek gelegen paneeldeur met smeedijzeren rooster wordt aan beide zijden geflankeerd door een getoogd T-schuifvenster met persiennes. Op de verdieping drie kleinere, eveneens getoogde T-schuifvensters. In de topgevel is een gepleisterd veld met de tekst: "Geldersche Hoeve". De zuidelijke, gedeeltelijk gepleisterde zijgevel is van west naar oost voorzien van twee T-schuifvensters met persiennes van de goeikamer en twee T-schuifvensters van de keuken. Oostelijk van de keuken ligt de voorstal en de stal met deel. De zuidelijke gevel is voorzien van een opgeklampt deurtje met gedeeld bovenlicht naar de voorstal, en bovenliggend vernieuwd driedelig licht (waarschijnlijk oorspronkelijk een laadluik naar de taszolder) en een reeks van drie stalvensters. De gevels van het bedrijfsdeel zijn voorzien van forse steekankers, die het vloerniveau van de taszolder aangeven. De noordelijke zijgevel heeft een T-schuifvenster met persienne, een keldervenster met diefijzers met bovenliggend opkamervenster, een opgeklampte deur naar de voorstal en een viertal rechthoekige stalven- sters. Vóór het woonhuis ligt een bakstenen stoep. In de tuin zijn onder meer van belang een put en een drietal knotlinden. Ten zuiden van de boerderij een omhaagde boomgaard.
Waardering.
De boerderij is van algemeen belang. Het object heeft cultuur-historisch belang als voorbeeld van de sociaal-economische ontwikkeling van de landbouw in de Kempen en als voorbeeld van de typologische ontwikkeling van de boerderij in het interbellum. Architectuurhistorisch is het van belang vanwege de sobere aan stedelijke voorbeelden ontleende ornamentiek. Het geheel is belangrijk vanwege de gaafheid van het exterieur en is als voorbeeld van een gave ontginningsboerderij uit het interbellum zeldzaam.

Introduction.
The CORNICE-TOPPED FARMHOUSE 'De Geldersche Hoeve' forms part of a complex of farmhouse with barn, which was established around 1910 in the reclaimed land near the Aa or Goorloop. The farmhouse stands with its ridge perpendicular to the access road, and parallel to the regulated stream. In 1973 the forecourt was renovated.
In particular, small modifications were made to the southern side gable.
Description.
The elongated farmhouse has one storey and is covered by a mansard roof with half-round tiles. The chimney on the southern roof slope marks the kitchen hearth; that on the northern roof slope the bedroom hearth. The dwelling house is situated in the western part of the building; the business section in the eastern part. The gables are constructed in brickwork; the front facade is provided with cast-iron ornamental wall anchors, a plastered plinth and matching bands. The symmetrical front facade has three window bays.
A panel door with wrought-iron grille located in a shallow porch is flanked on both sides by an arched T-sash window with blinds. On the upper storey three smaller, likewise arched T-sash windows. In the gable wall a plastered panel with the text: "Geldersche Hoeve". The southern, partially plastered side gable is provided from west to east with two T-sash windows with blinds of the parlour and two T-sash windows of the kitchen. East of the kitchen is the forecourt and the stable with section. The southern gable is provided with a clamped small door with divided fanlight to the forecourt, and above it renewed three-part light (probably originally a loading hatch to the hay loft) and a series of three stable windows. The gables of the business section are provided with substantial wall anchors, which indicate the floor level of the hay loft. The northern side gable has a T-sash window with blind, a cellar window with grille bars with above it upper-chamber window, a clamped door to the forecourt and four rectangular stable windows. In front of the dwelling house is a brick step. In the garden are notably a well and three pollard linden trees. South of the farmhouse a hedged orchard.
Valuation.
The farmhouse is of general importance. The object has cultural-historical importance as an example of the socio-economic development of agriculture in the Kempen and as an example of the typological development of the farmhouse in the interwar period. From an architectural-historical perspective it is important because of the austere ornamentation derived from urban examples. The whole is important because of the integrity of its exterior and as an example of an intact reclaimed-land farmhouse from the interwar period it is rare.
