Omschrijving
De toegang tot de tuin wordt gemarkeerd door een TOEGANGSHEK bestaande uit een tweevleugelig ijzeren spijlenhek tussen gemetselde hekpijlers en voluutvormige zijhekken. De hekpijlers zijn opgetrokken in baksteen met horizontale banden in gele verblendsteen en vormen een decoratieve eenheid met het huis. Voetstuk en afdekplaat met vaasbekroning zijn in natuursteen uitgevoerd. Op de afdekplaat is links "DONKER" en rechts "VLIET vermeld.
Waardering
Het toegangshek is van algemeen belang vanwege architectuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van een ijzeren hekwerk tussen gemetselde hekpijlers in neorenaissancestijl. Tevens is het van ensemblewaarde in samenhang met de villa.

The entrance to the garden is marked by an ENTRANCE GATE consisting of a two-leaved iron spear fence between masonry gate piers and volute-shaped side gates. The gate piers are constructed in brick with horizontal bands in yellow facing brick and form a decorative unity with the house. Pedestal and coping with urn finial are executed in natural stone. On the coping "DONKER" is inscribed on the left and "VLIET" on the right.
Valuation
The entrance gate is of general importance for its architectural-historical value as an example of ironwork fencing between masonry gate piers in neo-Renaissance style. It also has ensemble value in relation to the villa.
