De LINIEWAL met nevenbatterij uit 1895 is een smal, meer dan een kilometer lang aardwerk, dat 1,8 meter boven het omringende maaiveld uitsteekt. De wal is gelegen tussen de batterij aan het Gein en de keel van het Fort Nigtevecht en wordt halverwege doorsneden door de Velterslaan (de toegangsweg tot het fort). Deze laan scheidt ook de twee polders: de polder Baambrugge-Oostzijds en de Aetsveldsepolder. De liniewal bestaat uit een grenssloot, berm, dijklichaam met vlakke kruin en aan de frontzijde een flauwer talud dan aan de keel, en een grenssloot. Langs de zuidzijde staan knotwilgen. De wal is begroeid met gras.

The LINE WALL with auxiliary battery from 1895 is a narrow earthwork over one kilometre long, which rises 1.8 metres above the surrounding ground level. The wall is located between the battery at the Gein and the gorge of Fort Nigtevecht and is intersected halfway by the Velterslaan (the access road to the fort). This lane also separates the two polders: the Baambrugge-Oostzijds polder and the Aestveldse polder.
