Inleiding
GROT, aangelegd in 1927 aan de voet van de 'Koningin Julianatoren' uit 1910. De toren is gelegen aan de zuidzijde van de Amersfoortseweg en vormt het hart van het gelijknamige familie-pretpark. Aan de voet van de toren werd in 1927 een doolhof (of dwaalhof) aangelegd. In het midden van de doolhof bevindt zich een trap die voert naar een onderaardse gang die uitkomt in de koepelvormige grot aan de andere zijde van de Julianatoren. De grot heette vroeger ook wel de Grot van Finigal, een naam die soms verbasterd werd tot Bengaalse grot. In de grot bevindt zich nu een nagemaakt boerderijinterieur met poppen die het echtpaar Teunes-Heetmeijer moeten voorstellen.
Omschrijving
De koepelgrot is via de onderaardse gang te bereiken. Bovengronds is de grot te herkennen aan een betonnen koepel met een doorsnede van ca. zes meter en een hoogte van ongerveer 2,5 meter. Aan één zijde is een nieuwe entreepartij aangebracht waarin een trap naar beneden voert. Deze entreepartij valt niet onder de bescherming. Aan de binnenzijde is de koepel groter en is een grotachtig uiterlijk geconstrueerd. Het daglicht wordt gefilterd door 'brokken' gekleurd glas in de koepel. In de grot is een grote vitrine met een boereninterieur aangebracht. Deze invulling is modern.

Introduction
GROTTO, laid out in 1927 at the base of the 'Koningin Julianatoren' from 1910. The tower is located on the south side of the Amersfoortseweg and forms the heart of the family amusement park of the same name. At the base of the tower a maze (or dwaalhof) was laid out in 1927. In the centre of the maze is a staircase that leads to an underground passage that emerges in the dome-shaped grotto on the other side of the Julianatoren.
