Inleiding
WOONHUIS met garage, gebouwd in 1928 Amsterdamse Schoolstijl naar ontwerp van architect A. Kool. Het pand is gelegen op de afgeronde straathoek en georiënteerd op het Wilhelminapark.
Omschrijving
De brede in baksteen opgetrokken voorgevel, met afgeronde vorm de hoek van de straat volgend, bezit twee bouwlagen. De middenas wordt gevormd door in het dak doorgetrokken muurwerk dat links een vensteras bevat waarin een erker onder een met een luifel gedekt balkon en rechts over de verdiepingen twee van glas in lood voorziene vensterstroken. Het woonhuis is met een laag tuinmuurtje verbonden met bijbehorende garage. Rechts hiervan inpandige ingang en omgehoekt raam van samengesteld venster met balkon op tweede bouwlaag onder fors overstek. De linkerzijde van de gevel wordt in beslag genomen door twee samengestelde vensters per bouwlaag. Links in de gevel breed geveldeel met drielichtvenster op begane grond. Deuren en vensters in diverse vormen, onder meer overhoeks geplaatst en halfrond. Voorts specifieke vormgeving van de gevel onder meer door brede overstekken, natuurstenen decoraties en vlaggestok.
Ter rechterzijde, met huis verbonden via muurtje met houten hekwerk, eenlaags garage met dubbele houten garagedeur en zeer steil pannen zadeldak loodrecht op de rooilijn.
Waardering
WOONHUIS met garage van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuurhistorische waarde als goed en gaaf voorbeeld van een woonhuis in Interbellum architectuur met invloeden van Amsterdamse Schoolstijl. Voorts vanwege de stedenbouwkundige waarde vanwege de prominente ligging aan het Wilhelminapark.

Introduction

The broad facade built in brickwork, with its rounded shape following the street corner, has two storeys. The dwelling is connected with an adjoining garage by a low garden wall. To the right thereof an entrance within the property and an angled window of a composite window with balcony on the second storey under a substantial overhang. The left side of the facade is occupied by two composite windows per storey. On the left in the facade a broad section with a three-light window on the ground floor. Doors and windows in various forms, including placed diagonally and semi-circular. Furthermore specific shaping of the facade including broad overhangs, natural stone decorations and a flagstaff.
