Inleiding
ABSTEDERBRUG met HEKKEN en LANTAARNS gebouwd in 1901 in Jugendstil naar ontwerp van de Dienst Gemeentewerken onder directie van F.J. Nieuwenhuis. Gelegen over de Maliesingel als verbinding tussen de Nieuwegracht en de Maliesingel.
Omschrijving
Vaste boogbrug met 2 doorvaartopeningen van 7 meter hoog en een breedte van 12 meter. Gemetselde brug met betonnen fundering en dekbanden en -stukken van hardsteen. Gemetselde lantaarnposten met stenen dekstukken en lantaarns van smeedijzer. Zowel de lantaarns als de smeedijzeren hekwerken en leuningen met gestileerde vormen in Jugendstil.

Fixed arch bridge with 2 waterway openings 7 metres high and 12 metres wide. Moulded bridge with concrete foundation and coping bands and sections of hardstone. Moulded lantern posts with stone coping pieces and lanterns of wrought iron. Both the lanterns and the wrought iron railings and handrails with stylised forms in Jugendstil.
