Inleiding
WINKELWOONHUIS gebouwd in 1904 en uitgevoerd in Overgangsarchitectuur met Jugendstil-motieven, gelegen aan de Lijnmarkt en de werf.
Omschrijving
Onderkelderd hoekpand, gebouwd op middeleeuwse werfkelder naast stenen werftrap. Pand op rechthoekige plattegrond van drie bouwlagen en plat dak, waarbij de bouwlagen vanaf de Lijnmarkt gezien trapsgewijs met door borstwering begrensde terassen terugliggen. Gevel uitgevoerd in witte en gele strengpers steen, kunst- en natuursteen en tegels. De omgezette winkelpui op natuurstenen voet, in teakhout, ijzer en steen is uitgevoerd als ware het een transparante toevoeging aan het achterliggende pand. De pui heeft gebogen glas tussen houten pilasters en wordt afgesloten met een bronzen lijst, de winkel-ingang is in midden van de pui gesitueerd. Rechts in de pui is een houten deur opgenomen voor de woonhuistoegang. Boven de winkelpui een balkon met betonnen borstwering, de tweede bouwlaag met balkon met bakstenen borstwering. Vensters in tweede en derde bouwlaag met segmentboogvormige beëindiging. Gevel wordt beëindigd met overstek op klossen en uitstekende hoekpenanten. In de gevel op diverse plaatsen baksteendecoraties. Gevel aan Oudegrachtzijde met hoefijzerboog voor overbouwde werf waarachter ingang, andere drie bouwlagen met diverse vensterpartijen gezet in ondermeer ellipsbogen en korfbogen.Rechterdeel van de gevel is hoger opgetrokken met een baksteendecoratie onder de goot.

WINKELWOONHUIS van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuurhistorische waarde als markant voorbeeld van Overgangsarchitectuur met Jugendstilelementen. Het pand is van belang vanwege de zorgvuldige detailleringen van de rijk toegepaste materialen. Typologisch van belang als goed voorbeeld van een grachtenpand aan de werf.

Description
Undercellared corner building, built on a medieval werf cellar next to a stone werf staircase. Building on a rectangular plan of three storeys and a flat roof, whereby the storeys viewed from the Lijnmarkt recede step-wise with terraces bounded by parapets. Façade executed in white and yellow pressed brick, artificial and natural stone and tiles. The converted shop front on a natural stone base, in teak wood, iron and stone is executed as if it were a transparent addition to the building behind. The front has curved glass between wooden pilasters and is finished with a bronze moulding, the shop entrance is situated in the middle of the front. To the right in the front a wooden door is incorporated for the residence entrance. Above the shop front a balcony with concrete parapet, the second storey with balcony with brick parapet. Windows in the second and third storeys with segmental arch ending. Façade is finished with an overhang on corbels and projecting corner pilasters. In the façade in various places brick decorations. Façade on the Oudegracht side with horseshoe arch for the covered werf with entrance behind, the other three storeys with various window sections set in among others ellipse arches and basket arches.
