Omschrijving
BEHEERDERSWONING met rechthoekige plattegrond, twee bouwlagen en zadeldak met schild rechts, evenwijdig aan de straat. Onderkelderd pand met hardstenen plint, vier traveeën brede gevel, waarbij de middelste twee traveeën hoger opgetrokken zijn tot trapgevel. Gevel met houten kruisvensters, in de middelste twee traveeën schuifvensters, in de geveltop een klein bolkozijn. Linker travee met houten deur en bovenlicht. Vierde travee met op beide bouwlagen een enkelvoudig venster.
Alle vensters met strekken, uitgezonderd het venster op de eerste bouwlaag in de rechter travee, dat een korfboogvormige beëindiging heeft.
Zowel rond de vensters als rond de deur, als in de trapgevel, natuurstenen blokken ter decoratie. Voorts onder meer een sieranker midden op de gevel. Gevelbeëindiging met houten goot op klossen. Dak gedekt met rode Oud-Hollandse pannen.
Rechts naar de beheerderswoning, en ermee verbonden, een plaatsje afgesloten door een rondboogvormige poort met houten deur met beslag. Het poortje heeft een trapvormige aansluiting op de woning.
Waardering
Beheerderswoning met plaatsje en poort van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuurhistorische waarde als gaaf voorbeeld van Hollandse neo-renaissance en als onderdeel van het oeuvre van J. Stuivinga.
Tevens vanwege de cultuurhistorische waarde als onderdeel van een vroeg voorbeeld van een bibliotheek.

Description
MANAGER'S HOUSE with rectangular floor plan, two storeys and gabled roof with hipped section right, parallel to the street. Cellaraged property with hardstone plinth, four-bay-wide facade, with the middle two bays executed higher as a stepped gable. Facade with wooden cross windows, in the middle two bays sash windows, in the gable apex a small bull's eye window. Left bay with wooden door and fanlight. Fourth bay with a single window on both storeys.
All windows with transoms, except the window on the first storey in the right bay, which has a basket-arch termination.
Natural stone blocks round the windows as well as round the door and in the stepped gable for decoration. Furthermore among others an ornamental wall anchor in the middle of the facade. Facade termination with wooden gutter on corbels. Roof covered with red Old Dutch tiles.
To the right towards the manager's house, and connected with it, a courtyard enclosed by a round-arch gate with wooden door with fittings. The small gate has a stepped connection to the house.
Valuation
Manager's house with courtyard and gate of general importance because of its architectural-historical value as an intact example of Dutch neo-renaissance and as part of the oeuvre of J. Stuivinga.
Also because of its cultural-historical value as part of an early example of a library.
