Omschrijving
Woonblok van zes aaneengesloten HERENHUIZEN waarvan de nrs 1 t/m 5 zijn gebouwd in 1872 en herenhuis nr 6 in 1875, op westzijde van het voormalige Begijnebolwerk. De op het eerste oog identieke voorgevels van de zes huizen wijken in onderdelen van elkaar af. Vier van de zes huizen bezitten een souterrain en een doorlopende dak- en cordonlijst. Het pand nr 6 bezit in afwijking van de overige huizen, drie bouwlagen, gedekt met mansardekap. Ingang gelegen in de middelste vensteras onder balkon. In de waterlijsten en het geblokte pleisterwerk bestaan onderlinge variaties. Op begane grond drie vensterassen en op de verdiepingen twee boven een hardstenen plint. Per pand een eenvoudige dakkapel.
Voor het overige heeft dit blok dezelfde kenmerken als gegeven bij de algemene beschrijving van het complex.

Zes woonhuizen van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van woonhuizen opgetrokken in eclectische stijl en tevens vanwege de stedenbouwkundige waarde als deel van een gesloten straatwand en in relatie met de overige complex-onderdelen.

Residential block of six attached TOWN HOUSES of which nos 1 to 5 were built in 1872 and town house no 6 in 1875, on the west side of the former Begijnebolwerk. The facades of the six houses, which appear identical at first glance, differ in components. Four of the six houses have a basement storey and continuous roof and cornice line. Property no 6 differs from the other houses in having three storeys, covered with mansard roof. Entrance located in the middle window axis under a balcony. In the drip mouldings and the textured plasterwork there are mutual variations. Per property one simple roof dormer.
Otherwise this block has the same characteristics as given in the general description of the complex.
Valuation
Six residential houses of general importance because of their architectural-historical value as an example of residential houses constructed in eclectic style and also because of their urban design value as part of a closed street facade and in relation to the other complex components.
