SLUISWACHTERSWONING met smeedijzeren hek, uit 1889, onderdeel uitmakend van het sluizencomplex in het Merwedekanaal, gelegen aan de schutsluizen in de Leidsche Rijn bij Oog in Al, met bijna rechthoekige plattegrond, één bouwlaag met breed overstek. Twee haaks op elkaar staande bouwdelen met als topgevel uitgevoerde eindgevels, onder snijdende zadeldaken, met in de oksel een lagere aanbouw met lessenaarsdak, waarin de ingang is gesitueerd. Natuurstenen bovendorpels ontlasten de rechtgesloten met bovenlichten uitgeruste veelal verschillend voorkomende venstertypen.
Waardering
Sluiswachterswoning met hek van algemeen belang als een eenvoudig, gaaf bewaard voorbeeld van een dienstwoning. Van ensemblewaarde als functioneel onderdeel van het sluizencomplex in en om het Merwedekanaal.

LOCK KEEPER'S DWELLING with wrought iron gate, from 1889, component of the lock complex in the Merwedekanaal, situated at the locks in the Leidsche Rijn at Oog in Al, with almost rectangular floor plan, one storey with broad overhang. Two building sections arranged at right angles to each other with gable-like end elevations, under intersecting saddle roofs, with a lower extension in the junction with a lean-to roof, in which the entrance is located. Natural stone lintels relieve the closed-off window types, mostly equipped with fanlights, that vary in appearance.
Valuation
Lock keeper's dwelling with gate of general importance as a simple, well-preserved example of a service dwelling. Of ensemble value as a functional component of the lock complex in and around the Merwedekanaal.
