Inleiding
PASTORIE met tuin bij de St. Anthonius van Paduakerk, gebouwd in 1902 naar ontwerp van J. Stuyt en J. Cuypers in de stijl van het Traditionalisme en gelegen in de zuidwesthoek van het trapeziumvormige plein.
Omschrijving
De pastorie bestaat uit een rechthoekig bouwdeel van twee bouwlagen met kap evenwijdig aan de Kanaalstraat, verbonden met een eenlaags bouwdeel met kap evenwijdig aan de straat en een tweelaags bouwdeel op de hoek met de Pieter Bothstraat met tuitgevels ingeklemd tussen een kap evenwijdig aan de P.Bothstraat. De gevels zijn geheel opgetrokken in baksteen. De steile zadeldaken zijn gedekt met leien en hebben een brede overstek.
Het linker bouwdeel is drie venstertraveeën breed en heeft houten kruisvensters met glas-in-lood bovenlichten. In de zijgevel zijn er alleen beganegronds vensters aanwezig. In de kap aan de Kanaalstraatzijde een dakkapel in chaletstijl. In het eenlaags bouwdeel is de rondboogvormige ingang gesitueerd. Links daarvan een gekoppeld kruisvenster. Daarboven een door de dakrand heenstekend dakkapel in chaletstijl. Het rechter bouwdeel heeft twee traveeën brede gevel aan de Kanaalstraat met eenvoudige schuifvensters op de begane grond en kruisvensters op de verdieping, daarboven in de geveltop twee ronde venster.
Op de kap karakteristieke schoorstenen.

The parsonage consists of a rectangular building component of two storeys with roof parallel to Kanaalstraat, connected with a one-storey building component with roof parallel to the street and a two-storey building component on the corner with Pieter Bothstraat with spout gables wedged between a roof parallel to Pieter Bothstraat. The facades are entirely constructed in brickwork. The steep gabled roofs are covered with slate and have a wide overhang.
