Inleiding
De KADEMUUR is vermoedelijk aan het begin van de 20-ste eeuw aangelegd ter vervanging van de bestaande houten kademuur. Het te beschermen gedeelte loopt vanaf 'De Laatste Stuiver' brug tot de Looxmabrug. De kademuur, waarvan het type inmiddels een zeldzaamheid aan het worden is, vormt een mooi samenspel met 'De Laatste Stuiver' en het water van de stadsgracht, die rijksmonument zijn (mon.nrs. 34061 en 34077).
Omschrijving
De kademuur is opgebouwd uit gemetselde trogmuurtjes, uitgevoerd in gele baksteen met een strek aan de bovenzijde, tussen ijzeren profielen en een ijzeren hoekprofiel op de walkant.
Waardering
De kademuur van de Looxmagracht is van algemeen cultuurhistorisch en architectuurhistorisch belang:

The QUAY WALL is presumed to have been constructed at the beginning of the 20th century as a replacement for the existing wooden quay wall. The section to be protected runs from 'De Laatste Stuiver' bridge to the Looxma bridge.
