Omschrijving
MOESTUINMUUR. Rode bakstenen moestuinmuur uit Ca. 1850, thans deels in ruïneuze staat, langs de west-, noord-, en oostzijde van de voormalige moestuin. De noordzijde van de muur is geïntegreerd in de gevels van het complex van voormalige dienstwoningen en oranjerie. De muur wordt door pijlers geleed, nog deels voorzien van een pyramide-vormige bekroning. De muur zelf wordt door een ezelsrug bekroond. Een unieke karakteristiek van de muur vormt de bouwwijze op spaarbogen, waarschijnlijk uitgedacht in verband met bewortelingsmogelijkheden van het leifruit. Deze spaarbogen zijn aan de westzijde van de muur nog duidelijk waarneembaar.
Waardering
De MOESTUINMUUR is van algemeen cultuurhistorich en architectonisch van belang:
- vanwege de ouderdom;
- als karakteristiek en functioneel onderdeel van een Nederlandse historische buitenplaats;
- vanwege de unieke constructie van de muur op spaarbogen.

KITCHEN GARDEN WALL. Red brick kitchen garden wall from c. 1850, now partly in ruinous condition, along the west, north and east sides of the former kitchen garden. The north side of the wall is integrated into the facades of the complex of former servants' houses and orangery. The wall is articulated by piers, still partly furnished with a pyramid-shaped crown. The wall itself is crowned by a half-hipped coping. A unique characteristic of the wall is its construction method using relieving arches, presumably devised with a view to the rooting possibilities of espalier fruit. These relieving arches are still clearly perceptible on the west side of the wall.
Valuation
The KITCHEN GARDEN WALL is of general cultural-historical and architectural importance:
- by reason of its age;
- as a characteristic and functional component of a Dutch historic country estate;
- by reason of the unique construction of the wall using relieving arches.
