Omschrijving onderdeel 3:
INRIJHEK
Aan de Wilhelminastraat staat het monumentale inrijhek daterend uit 1776. Dit bestaat uit twee hekpijlers, hekpalen en obelisken alle uitgevoerd in hardsteen. De hoge forse hekpijlers hebben een blokverband met aan de voor- en achterzijde een pilaster. Ze worden bekroond met een hoofdgestel waarop een rondom gecanneluurde vaas. Op de pilasters aan draperieën hangende wapenschilden, thans zeer afgesleten, maar vermoedelijk die van het geslacht Assendelft de Coningh. De hekpijlers zijn met elkaar verbonden door een houten latei, waarop de naam "Hof van Moerkerken". De gemetselde boogbrug voor het hek wordt afgesloten met een natuurstenen band. Hierop staan de hekpalen en de obelisken. Zij zijn onderling en met de hekpijlers verbonden door een zware ijzeren ketting. De oorspronkelijke lantaarns op de obelisken zijn verloren. De huidige lantaarns zijn van recente datum.
Waardering Het INRIJHEK is van belang vanwege - als gaaf bewaard en zeldzaam voorbeeld van een inrijhek in Lodewijk XVI-stijl; - het materiaalgebruik; - zijn decoratieve waarde.

ENTRANCE GATE
On the Wilhelminastraat stands the monumental entrance gate dating from 1776. This consists of two gate piers, gate posts and obelisks all executed in hard stone. The tall substantial gate piers have a block bond with a pilaster on the front and rear sides. They are crowned with a main lintel on which sits a fluted vase all around. On the pilasters hanging draperies with coats of arms, now very worn, but presumably those of the family Assendelft de Coningh. The gate piers are connected with each other by a wooden lintel, on which the name "Hof van Moerkerken". The mortared arched bridge in front of the gate is closed off with a natural stone band. On this stand the gate posts and the obelisks. They are mutually and with the gate piers connected by a heavy iron chain. The original lanterns on the obelisks have been lost. The current lanterns are of recent date.
Valuation The ENTRANCE GATE is of significance because of - being a well-preserved and rare example of an entrance gate in Louis XVI style; - the use of materials; - its decorative value.
