Omschrijving onderdeel 10:
TUINBEELD. Ten westen van het hoofdgebouw staat, in het verlengde van het 'Grand Canal', een 18de-eeuws tuinbeeld van Bentheimer zandsteen voorstellende Hercules met de Hydra van Lerna. Het beeld staat op een geprofileerde sokkel, eveneens van Bentheimer zandsteen. Op de knots de inscriptie 'H.ANSUM fecit'. Volgens overlevering is het beeld afkomstig van de havezate Ansen bij Ruinen.

GARDEN SCULPTURE. To the west of the main building stands, in line with the 'Grand Canal', an 18th-century garden sculpture of Bentheim sandstone depicting Hercules with the Hydra of Lerna. The sculpture stands on a moulded plinth, also of Bentheim sandstone. On the club is the inscription 'H.ANSUM fecit'. According to tradition the sculpture originates from the manor house Ansen near Ruinen.
