Omschrijving
IJSKELDER behorende tot de historische buitenplaats Dickninge. Omstreeks 1813 tot ijskelder verbouwde middeleeuwse kelder (refter) van het voormalige klooster Dickninge, gelegen direct ten zuiden van de boerderij 'Het Bouwhuis'. Uit gepleisterde baksteen opgetrokken, met aarde bedekte en met bomen beplante kelder met graatgewelven en met oorspronkelijk drie doorgangen naar nevenruimten. In de gedeeltelijk vernieuwde ingangspartij een getoogde houten toegangsdeur. Vloer van groot formaat baksteen in visgraatverband.

Description
ICE HOUSE belonging to the historical country estate Dickninge. Around 1813 a medieval cellar (refectory) of the former Dickninge monastery converted to an ice house, situated directly south of the farm 'Het Bouwhuis'. Built up from plastered brickwork, a cellar with barrel vaults and earth-covered and planted with trees, with originally three passages to adjacent rooms. In the partially renewed entrance section a arched wooden entrance door. Floor of large format brickwork in herringbone bond.
