Omschrijving
Deels onder de grond gebouwd FILTERGEBOUW opgetrokken in gewapend beton en rode baksteen, en afgedekt met een dikke laag aarde waar gras op groeit. De gevels worden geleed door staande stalen kozijnen met een horizontale roede. Voor de kozijnen is gaas gespannen. Het in 1943 gereed gekomen gebouw heeft aan alle vier zijden een overkapping steunend op betonnen pijlers op een verhoogd terras tussen twee gemetselde wanden, die buiten de overkapping overgaan in een hellend muurtje met vlechtwerk.
De hoofdentree bevindt zich midden in de voorgevel (zuid) en bestaat uit dubbele aluminium deuren (niet origineel) in een (onder de overkapping) iets uitgebouwd bakstenen gedeelte met aan weerszijden twee staande vensters. Een decoratieve beklinkerde vloer tussen twee hoger gelegen, ommuurde terrassen leidt naar de entree; aan beide zijden verleent een gemetselde trapje (drie treden) toegang tot de met klinker bestrate terrassen. Voor de entree ondersteunen twee gemetselde pijlers de overkapping.
De noordzijde heeft in het midden een boven en buiten de overkapping uitstekend bakstenen deel met aan de noordzijde twee enkele stalen deuren en een dubbele aluminium deur onder een betonlatei, en vier staande tweeruits stalen vensters (waarvan één later is dichtgezet), eveneens met betonlatei.
In het INTERIEUR zijn onder meer van belang: de originele indeling met buizenkelder en reinwaterkelders, bedieningsbordes en voor- en nafilters.

Description
Partially underground FILTER BUILDING constructed in reinforced concrete and red brick, and covered with a thick layer of earth on which grass grows. The facades are articulated by vertical steel window frames with a horizontal glazing bar. Wire mesh is stretched in front of the frames. The building, completed in 1943, has on all four sides a canopy supported by concrete pillars on a raised terrace between two mortared walls, which outside the canopy transition into a sloping wall with wattle.
The main entrance is located in the middle of the front facade (south) and consists of double aluminium doors (not original) in a brick section (under the canopy) that projects slightly, with two vertical windows on either side. A decorative brick-paved floor between two higher, walled terraces leads to the entrance; on both sides a mortared staircase (three steps) provides access to the terraces paved with brick. Two mortared pillars in front of the entrance support the canopy.
The north side has in the middle a brick section projecting above and outside the canopy with on the north side two single steel doors and a double aluminium door under a concrete lintel, and four vertical two-light steel windows (one of which was later sealed up), also with concrete lintel.
In the INTERIOR the following are of note: the original layout with pipe cellar and purified water cellars, operation platform and pre- and post-filters.
