Omschrijving
De STELPBOERDERIJ uit 1881 op rechthoekige plattegrond en opgetrokken uit donkerrode baksteen, wordt gedekt door een schilddak met zwart geglazuurde Hollandse pannen ter plaatse van het ECLECTISCH vormgegeven woongedeelte en ongeglazuurde Hollandse pannen ter plaatse van de stallen en tas. In de nokpunten zit een uilebord; onder de dakrand loopt een geprofileerde waterlijst. Centraal in de voorgevel bevindt zich de entree met in de portiek een tweeruits paneeldeur met gietijzeren sierrooster en bovenlicht; ervoor ligt een hardstenen stoepplaat. De entree wordt geflankeerd door vier T-vensters. Links hiervan, boven de twee kleine vensters met dubbele luiken van de melkkelder, bevindt zich een kleiner T-venster. De deur- en vensteropeningen hebben afgeronde hoeken en een stuc-omlijsting met kuif. Boven de entree bevindt zich een gemetselde dakkajuit onder flauw hellend zadeldak. Op de hoeken staan schijnzuiltjes met korintisch kapiteel. Voor de openslaande deuren, eveneens met stucomlijsting met kuif, hangt een sierlijk gietijzeren Frans balkon met palmetten. Een geprofileerd boeiboord met daarop gietijzeren voluten bekroont de kajuit.
In de oostgevel bevindt zich de kubbing van de melkkelder met vier vierruits vensters, alsmede de zij-ingang van de woning met een vierruits deur geflankeerd door links twee en rechts één zesruits schuifvenster(s). Een lage dubbele staldeur verschaft toegang tot de tas. De dakkapel in het dakvlak is van recente datum. De achtergevel is uitgerust met een hoge dubbele staldeur, vier kleine vierruits stalvensters en een lage staldeur met venster.
De westgevel heeft, ter hoogte van het woongedeelte, een T-venster met stucwerk en kuif. Het uitkragende stalgedeelte heeft naast de acht oorspronkelijke vierruits stalvensters, vier grote vensters en een deur aan de kopse kant gekregen als gevolg van het inbouwen van een woonvertrek.
Het INTERIEUR van het woongedeelte is vrij gaaf met uitzondering van het woonvertrek aan de westzijde dat is uitgebreid met een gedeelte van de stal. De plafonds van de hal en de twee aangrenzende vertrekken hebben een gesneden plafondlijst met in het midden een rozet. De twee voorvertekken hebben vensterbanken en binnenluiken die nog functioneren. Verdere noemenswaardige onderdelen zijn onder meer de trap met zijn gedecoreerde trapboom en leuningaanzet, de originele kozijnen met deuren, de kastenwand bij de zij-ingang en toegang tot de melkkelder.
De sporenkap is van Amerikaans grenen met een rieten beschot onder de pannen.
Waardering
De boerderij aan de Spanjaardsdijk 25 in Sloten, naar ontwerp uit 1881 van H. Luiking, is van algemeen cultuurhistorisch en architectuurhistorisch belang:
- als hoofdbestanddeel van een groter geheel dat van algemeen cultuurhistorisch belang is;
- vanwege de hoogwaardige esthetische kwaliteit van het ontwerp;

Description
The TIMBER-FRAME FARMHOUSE from 1881 on a rectangular floor plan and constructed from dark red brick, is covered by a hipped roof with black-glazed Dutch tiles at the location of the ECLECTICALLY designed residential section and unglazed Dutch tiles at the location of the stables and hay loft. In the roof ridges sits a gable board; under the eaves runs a moulded drip moulding. Centrally in the front facade is the entrance with in the porch a two-paned panel door with cast-iron decorative grille and fanlight; in front of it lies a stone threshold. The entrance is flanked by four T-windows. To the left of this, above the two small windows with double shutters of the milk cellar, is a smaller T-window. The door and window openings have rounded corners and a stucco surround with hood moulding. Above the entrance is a brick-built roof dormer under a shallow sloping gabled roof. On the corners stand pilaster strips with Corinthian capitals. In front of the French doors, likewise with stucco surround with hood moulding, hangs an ornamental cast-iron French balcony with palmettes. A moulded board with cast-iron volutes on top crowns the dormer.
In the east facade is the milk cellar section with four four-paned windows, as well as the side entrance to the dwelling with a four-paned door flanked on the left by two and on the right by one six-paned sash window(s). A low double stable door provides access to the hay loft. The roof dormer in the roof plane is of recent date. The rear facade is equipped with a high double stable door, four small four-paned stable windows and a low stable door with window.
The west facade has, at the level of the residential section, a T-window with stucco work and hood moulding. The projecting stable section, in addition to the eight original four-paned stable windows, has received four large windows and a door at the gable end as a result of the installation of a living room.
The INTERIOR of the residential section is fairly intact with the exception of the living room on the west side which has been enlarged with a section of the stable. The ceilings of the hall and the two adjoining rooms have a carved cornice with a rosette in the middle. The two front rooms have windowsills and interior shutters that still function. Other noteworthy components include, among others, the staircase with its decorated newel post and handrail bracket, the original window frames with doors, the cupboard wall at the side entrance and access to the milk cellar.
The roof truss structure is of American pine with a thatched layer under the tiles.
Valuation
The farmhouse at Spanjaardsdijk 25 in Sloten, to a design from 1881 by H. Luiking, is of general cultural-historical and architectural-historical importance:
- as a principal component of a larger whole that is of general cultural-historical importance;
- because of the high aesthetic quality of the design;
- because of the place the object occupies in the architect's oeuvre;
