Omschrijving onderdeel 3: DIENSTGEBOUW.
Nabij het huis Mariënwaerdt staat een pand uit circa 1734 met middeleeuwse kelders en verbouwingen uit het midden van de 19de eeuw. Het op U-vormige grondslag opgetrokken bakstenen dienstgebouw is samengesteld uit een tuinmanswoning, een oranjerie, een koetshuis en een stal (thans timmerwerkplaats).
De frontgevel aan de oostzijde is naar het hoofdgebouw gekeerd en bestaat uit één bouwlaag met een verhoogde middenpartij, voorzien van een kroonlijst met tuinvazen op de hoeken. Aan weerszijden hiervan een vleugel waarin vier ijzeren meerruits vensters met rondboog bovenlicht voorzien van rozetvormige roedeverdeling; alleen het venster uiterst rechts is blind.
De linker vleugel doet dienst als oranjerie met in de zuidgevel twee identieke rondboogvensters en twee getoogde kelderlichten aan weerszijden van een trap met dubbele deur met smal bovenlicht.
In de middenpartij bevindt zich een getoogde poort, die toegang geeft tot het koetshuis in de rechter vleugel, en daarboven een ronde wijzerplaat. Ook de achtergevel aan de westzijde heeft een verhoogde middenpartij met een getoogde poort en links daarvan nogmaals een poort.
Haaks op de oranjerie staat de tuinmanswoning van twee bouwlagen onder een met Oud-Hollandse pannen gedekt schilddak met klokkentorentje. In de zuidgevel bevinden zich meerruits vensters met persiennes en een getoogde poort, in de noordgevel meerruits vensters van verschillend formaat.
Haaks op het koetshuis is de stal met blinde noordgevel, in de zuidgevel een toegangsdeur met halfrond bovenlicht en in de kopse gevel een meerruits venster met luiken op de begane grond en een meerruits venster in de top.
Kelders bevloerd met rode plavuizen en met tongewelven, die deel hebben uitgemaakt van het middeleeuwse abdijcomplex.
Waardering
Het DIENSTGEBOUW behorend tot de historische buitenplaats Mariënwaerdt is van algemeen cultuurhistorisch belang:
- wegens de ouderdom;
- wegens de vormgeving in classicistische stijl;
- wegens de funderingsresten (kelders met tongewelf) verwijzend naar het middeleeuwse abdijcomplex;
- als karakteristiek en functioneel onderdeel;

Description component 3: SERVICE BUILDING.
Near the house Mariënwaerdt stands a building from circa 1734 with medieval cellars and alterations from the mid-19th century. The brick service building erected on a U-shaped ground plan is composed of a gardener's dwelling, an orangery, a coach house and a stable (now carpentry workshop).
The front facade on the east side faces the main building and consists of one storey with an elevated central section, provided with a cornice with garden vases on the corners. On either side thereof a wing with four iron multi-rut windows with rounded arch fanlight provided with rosette-shaped glazing bars; only the window furthest to the right is blind.
The left wing serves as an orangery with in the south facade two identical rounded arch windows and two arched cellar lights on either side of a stair with double door with narrow fanlight.
In the central section is an arched gate, which provides access to the coach house in the right wing, and above it a round clock face. The rear facade on the west side also has an elevated central section with an arched gate and to the left thereof a further gate.
Perpendicular to the orangery stands the gardener's dwelling of two storeys under a hipped roof covered with Old Dutch tiles with a bell tower. In the south facade are multi-rut windows with jalousies and an arched gate, in the north facade multi-rut windows of different sizes.
Perpendicular to the coach house is the stable with blind north facade, in the south facade an access door with semicircular fanlight and in the gable end a multi-rut window with shutters on the ground floor and a multi-rut window in the top.
Cellars floored with red tiles and with barrel vaults, which were part of the medieval abbey complex.
