Inleiding
De SCHUUR is in opdracht van de heer De Bruin in 1932 gebouwd naar een ontwerp van Joh. H. Sluymer. Daar deze architect vooral bekend staat om zijn kerkarchitektuur is een ontwerp voor een schuur van zijn hand zeer bijzonder.
De schuur staat op een erf dat hoort bij het landgoed Austie.
Omschrijving
Schuur op een rechthoekige grondslag, opgetrokken in rode machinale baksteen. Het geknikte zadeldak met rode vernieuwde Hollandse pannen wordt beëindigd door eenvoudige windveren en makelaars op de geveltoppen. De eindgevels van de schuur zijn beschoten.
In de voorgevel (O) zijn onder een gedrukte spitsboog deeldeuren geplaatst. Aan beide zijden van de deuren bevindt zich een rondboog stalraam. Links in de gevel is een rondboogdeur geplaatst. Boven de deeldeuren zijn muurankers met et jaartal 1932 aangebracht.
Aan de rechter zijde van de schuur (N) bevindt zich in het midden een dakkapel met een steekkap, daaronder is een rondboogdeur geplaatst. Aan weerszijden daarvan bevinden zich drie twaalfruits stalramen.
De achtergevel (W) is voorzien van twee deuren onder een segmentboog en twee ronde vensters. In de beschoten geveltop bevindt zich een smalle strook vensters.
De zuidelijke zijgevel van de schuur heeft twee deuren onder een segmentboog en vier vijftienruits stalramen.
Deze schuur is van algemeen architectuurhistorische en stedebouwkundige waarde:

Barn on a rectangular ground plan, constructed in red machine-made brick. The bent gabled roof with red renewed Dutch tiles is terminated by simple wind braces and making pieces on the gable tops. The end gables of the barn are weatherboarded.
In the front facade (E) divided doors are placed under a depressed pointed arch. On either side of the doors is a round-arch stable window. On the left of the facade is a round-arch door. Above the divided doors ornamental wall anchors with the date 1932 have been applied.
On the right side of the barn (N) in the middle is a roof dormer with a pitched roof, beneath it is a round-arch door. On either side of this are three twelve-pane stable windows.
The rear facade (W) is provided with two doors under a segmental arch and two round windows. In the weatherboarded gable top is a narrow band of windows.
The southern side facade of the barn has two doors under a segmental arch and four fifteen-pane stable windows.
