Inleiding
Dubbel WOONHUIS, vrijstaand gesitueerd in een bocht van de oplopende Molenberglaan. Het pand werd omstreeks 1918 gebouwd naar een ontwerp van architect Jan Stuyt. Het ontwerp is sterk verwant aan het ontwerp voor de straatwand Molenberglaan 116-124, eveneens van architect Jan Stuyt, en vormt met deze straatwand een complex. Het pand is gelegen binnen het potentiële stadsgezicht Molenberg en omgeving.
De aangebouwde keuken aan de linkerzijgevel van pand met huisnummer 114 is uitgesloten van bescherming. De aangebouwde garage aan de rechterzijgevel van pand met huisnummer 112 is eveneens uitgesloten van bescherming.
Omschrijving
Twee halfvrijstaande woonhuizen in twee bouwlagen onder schilddaken en zadeldaken met mulden pannen. Asymmetrische indeling frontgevel. Pand met huisnummer 114 springt vooruit.
Het toegepaste bouwmateriaal is baksteen voorzien van een witte pleisterlaag. Rechthoekige houten vensters deels voorzien van roedeverdeling. Rechthoekige en rondboogvormige deuren.
Pand met HUISNUMMER 112. Rechthoekige deur van omstreeks 1990 onder luifel in linkerdeel frontgevel. Luifel rust aan de rechterzijde op houten console. Vensters met bakstenen dorpelstenen. In de rechterzijgevel in de eerste bouwlaag een venster, en in de tweede bouwlaag twee rechthoekige vensters. Aan de rechterzijgevel een aangebouwde garage.
In de eerste bouwlaag achtergevel aan de linkerzijde een dubbele tuindeur met zij- en bovenlichten. In het rechterdeel van de achtergevel een rechthoekige deur met bovenlicht. In de tweede bouwlaag twee rechthoekige vensters. Structuur van het INTERIEUR grotendeels in tact.
Pand met HUISNUMMER 114. Deur in linkerdeel frontgevel met rondboogvormige metselwerk omlijsting. Vensters frontgevel met bovenlichten met roedeverdeling. In de linkerzijgevel drie rechthoekige vensters. Aan de linkerzijgevel een steunbeerachtig geveldeel. In de achtergevel in de eerste bouwlaag aan de linkerijde een dubbele tuindeur met zij- en bovenlichten. Aan de rechterzijde een rechthoekig venster. In de tweede bouwlaag achtergevel twee rechthoekige houten vensters met bovenlichten met roedeverdeling. In elk dakgevelvlak een dakkapel. INTERIEURINDELING aangepast.

Het dubbel woonhuis bezit cultuurhistorische waarde als onderdeel van een complex dat een bijzondere uitdrukking vormt van een sociaal-economische ontwikkeling. Het dubbel woonhuis bezit architectuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van het oeuvre van architect Jan Stuyt.
