Omschrijving
De zuidelijk van het station Soest gelegen éénlaags goederenloods uit 1897 is opgetrokken op een rechthoekige plattegrond onder een met rode kruispannen gedekt zadeldak, waarvan de nokrichting haaks staat op het spoor. De in rode baksteen opgetrokken gevels hebben een vooruitstekend trasraam in grauwe baksteen met hardstenen hoekaccenten en horizontale banden van gele verblendsteen. De kopse gevels (west en oost) zijn puntgevels met een met verticale delen betimmerde geveltop. De boeiborden hebben opgelegde ronde houten ornamenten. De kopgevels bevatten drie hooggeplaatste, kleine vensters onder een strek, gescheiden door muurdammen. De zuidgevel heeft links een deuropening met een vernieuwde paneeldeur. Rechts daarvan is een klein venster geplaatst.
Waardering

Description
The single-storey goods shed from 1897 situated south of Soest station is constructed on a rectangular plan under a gabled roof covered with red cross tiles, the ridge direction of which is perpendicular to the track. The façades constructed in red brick have a projecting corner stone frame in grey brick with hardstone corner accents and horizontal bands of yellow brick. The end façades (west and east) are pointed gables with a gabled end boarded with vertical sections. The bargeboards have applied round wooden ornaments. The end gables contain three high-placed small windows beneath a stretch, separated by wall piers. The south façade has on the left a door opening with a renewed panelled door. To the right of this a small window is placed.

The detached goods shed from 1897 is of general importance due to its cultural and architectural historical value as a well-preserved and recognisable example of a goods shed, which in terms of style, material use, function and detailing corresponds with the associated station building (component 1) with neo-renaissance and chalet style features, both designed by J.F.
