Inleiding
Smeedijzeren HEK, in oorsprong achttiende-eeuws maar in 1880 aanmerkelijk uitgebreid in dezelfde rococo-stijl. Het hek fungeert als scheidingshek tussen de openbare weg en de overtuin. Bij een wegverbreding in 1939 is het hek een aantal meters naar achteren geplaatst.
Omschrijving
Smeedijzeren hek met eenvoudige spijlen afgewisseld door met krullen versierde delen, op een bakstenen muurtje met hardstenen stoep ter plaatse van de toegang naar de tuin.
Waardering
Het hek is cultuurhistorisch van algemeen belang vanwege de relatie met het hoofdhuis Bisdom van Vliet. Het hek is gaaf en heeft een bijzonder rijke vormgeving.
Bovendien bezit het hek ensemblewaarde als onderdeel van de met diverse sierelementen opgeluisterde overtuin.

Wraught iron GATE, originally eighteenth-century but considerably extended in 1880 in the same rococo style. The gate functions as a dividing gate between the public road and the far garden. During a road widening in 1939 the gate was moved back several metres.
