Inleiding
Het in Ambachtelijk-traditionele bouwtrant opgetrokken BAARHUISJE stamt vermoedelijk uit 1864. Het bevindt zich ten oosten van de van rijkswege reeds beschermde R.K. St. Barnabaskerk (mon.nr. 19921) op het in 1825 aangelegde kerkhof, dat in 1883 is vergroot. Oorspronkelijk stond het baarhuisje bij de ingang van het kerkhof, sindsdien is het echter verplaatst naar de uiterste zuidoosthoek, grenzend aan de oever van de Hooge Boezem.
Beschrijving
Vrijstaand, symmetrisch opgezet, éénlaags houten baarhuisje op een rechthoekig grondvlak onder een met zinken platen belegd zadeldak. De nokrichting ligt in oost-westrichting, parallel aan de kerk. De houten windveren hebben een makelaar met als funerair motief een vlam. De gootlijsten aan de lange zijden hebben aan de onderrand een gekarteld motief.
Boven een betonnen plint bestaan de wanden tussen verticale stijlen uit houten rabatdelen. In beide langsgevels is een rechthoekig ventilatierooster geplaatst. De voorgevel (west), een puntgevel met in het midden een paneeldeur met daarboven een roosvenster, is voorzien van decoratief gietijzeren traliewerk. De achtergevel (oost) is blind.

Het baarhuisje is cultuurhistorisch van algemeen belang als uitdrukking van een ontwikkeling in het begrafeniswezen uit het derde kwart van de 19de eeuw.

Introduction
The BIER HOUSE built in traditional craft building style dates presumably from 1864. It is situated to the east of the state-protected R.C. St. Barnabas Church (mon.nr. 19921) on the churchyard laid out in 1825, which was enlarged in 1883. Originally the bier house stood at the entrance to the churchyard, but has since been moved to the far southeast corner, bordering on the bank of the Hooge Boezem.
Description
Freestanding, symmetrically arranged, single-storey wooden bier house on a rectangular ground plan under a gabled roof clad with zinc plates. The ridge direction lies in an east-west direction, parallel to the church. The wooden wind braces have a support bracket with as a funerary motif a flame. The gutter mouldings on the long sides have a dentilled motif on the lower edge.
Above a concrete plinth the walls between vertical posts consist of wooden rabate boards. In both long side facades a rectangular ventilation grille is placed. The front facade (west), a pointed gable with in the middle a panelled door with above it a roof window, is provided with decorative cast iron grille work. The rear facade (east) is blind.
