Omschrijving
Omschrijving onderdeel 5: Poorthuis met wachtportaal.
Het gebouw staat als poortgebouw bekend, maar heeft die functie nooit gehad. Het is gebouwd als bedrijfsruimte, appelbewaarplaats, etcetera, in het kader van de aanplant van boomgaarden. Tegen de voorgevel is een klein wachtportaal uitgebouwd, dat diende om de bewoners van het huis, die wachtten op de tram die over de Zuiderzeestraatweg reed, te beschutten. Het gebouw stamt uit circa 1910 en is opgetrokken in baksteen, het telt twee bouwlagen onder een met pannen gedekt zadeldak en is voorzien van een trapgevel.

Description
Description component 5: Gate house with waiting shelter.
The building is known as a gate building, but never had that function. It was built as business premises, apple storage, et cetera, in the context of the planting of orchards. Against the front facade a small waiting shelter has been built, which served to shelter the residents of the house, who were waiting for the tram that ran over the Zuiderzeestraatweg. The building dates from circa 1910 and is constructed of brick, it counts two storeys under a saddle roof covered with tiles and is provided with a stepped gable.
Assessment
The gate house with waiting shelter is of general importance because of its function on the country estate Old Putten since the early 20th-century renovation.
