Omschrijving
Het huis is ontstaan in drie bouwfasen. Oorspronkelijk - tweede helft zeventiende eeuw - stond er een eenlaags pand met een breedte van vijf traveeën. Dat pand is blijkens de uitbeelding van 1729 door Pronk al betrekkelijk snel verbreed met twee traveeën, voorzien van blinde nissen. Omstreeks 1851 werd het pand gewijzigd, waarbij zesruits schuifvensters werden geplaatst die kleiner zijn dan de oorspronkelijke zeventiende-eeuwse vensters. Ook werd toen het huis met een verdieping verhoogd. In 1925 en/of binnen enkele jaren daarna werd het huis gerenoveerd. In 1972 werd het ontdaan van de negentiende-eeuwse pleisterlaag.
Het huis is een bakstenen pand van twee bouwlagen op een rechthoekige plattegrond onder een schilddak met Hollandse pannen. Het huis ligt met de brede zijde aan het voorplein. De voorgevel telt op de begane grond zeven traveeën. Behalve de vijfde zijn deze alle voorzien van een zesruits schuifvenster. De vijfde bevat de entree, gevormd door een paneeldeur met boven- en zijlichten in de trant van het Hollandse classicisme, waarschijnlijk gemaakt in navolging van de tekening van Pronk. Boven de vensters in de derde, vierde, zesde en zevende travee bevinden zich strekkenlagen die de plaats aangeven van de vensters van de eerste bouwfase. Op de eerste verdieping bevinden zich vijf negenruits vensters die naar boven in de muur schuiven.
Waardering
Het zeventiende-eeuwse huis Luchtenburg, gewijzigd omstreeks 1851, (kort na) 1925 en 1972, is van algemeen belang vanwege:
- het bouwtype landhuis, met een afleesbare bouwgeschiedenis en details zoals historische vensters;

Description
The house arose in three building phases. Originally - second half of the 17th century - there stood a single-storey building with a width of five bays. According to the 1729 depiction by Pronk, this building was widened relatively quickly by two bays, provided with blind niches. Around 1851 the building was altered, six-pane sash windows being installed that are smaller than the original 17th century windows. The house was also heightened by one storey at this time. In 1925 and/or within a few years thereafter the house was renovated. In 1972 it was stripped of the 19th century plaster layer.
The house is a brick building of two storeys on a rectangular floor plan under a hipped roof with Dutch tiles. The house is positioned with its broad side facing the front square. The front facade has seven bays on the ground floor. Apart from the fifth, all of these are provided with a six-pane sash window. The fifth contains the entrance, formed by a panelled door with fanlights and sidelights in the manner of Dutch classicism, probably made in imitation of Pronk's drawing. Above the windows in the third, fourth, sixth and seventh bays are stretcher courses indicating the position of the windows of the first building phase. On the first floor are five nine-pane windows that slide upward in the wall.
