Inleiding
Bij het buitenhuis 'Buitenzorg' behorend koetshuis, gebouwd rond 1875. In 1949 is het koetshuis verbouwd tot woning. De dakruiter bevat een klok, die onder de bescherming valt. Deze is waarschijnlijk in 1876 aangebracht en gemaakt door de fa. Haak en gebr. Caminade en Dupont te Rotterdam.
Omschrijving
Aan de Amsterdamsestraatweg, links naast het huis Buitenzorg en evenwijdig aan de weg gelegen KOETSHUIS van anderhalve bouwlaag. Het witgepleisterde pand heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond onder een met rode Hollandse pannen gedekt zadeldak met de nok evenwijdig aan de weg. De tweede bouwlaag is uitgevoerd als mezzanino. Tussen de eerste en de tweede bouwlaag bevindt zich een profiellijst. De gevels zijn symmetrisch ingedeeld. De voorgevel of oostgevel heeft een middenrisaliet onder een steekkap. Hierin bevindt zich een ingang en op de verdieping een venster met luiken waarboven een rond venster. De gevel bevat voorts ter weerszijden van de risaliet twee tweelichts roedenvensters en in de mezzanino twee kleine roedenvensters. De achtergevel is uitgevoerd met een kleine middenrisaliet, waarin de staldeuren aan te treffen zijn. Ook hier bevinden zich vensters ter weerszijden. De zijgevels bezitten in de eerste bouwlaag dubbele vensters, in de tweede bouwlaag stolpende deuren.
Op de nok staat een houten dakruiter met een uurwerk en een klok. De spits is met zink bekleed.
Waardering
Het koetshuis van Buitenzorg is van cultuurhistorische en architectuurhistorische waarde vanwege het bouwtype. Voorts is het van ensemblewaarde in combinatie met het hoofdgebouw van 'Buitenzorg'.
