De TUIN- en PARKAANLEG van de buitenplaats Benthuys is tussen 1881 en 1921 aangelegd in een mengstijl en bestaat uit een deels landschappelijke, deels formele aanleg. De tuinarchitect is onbekend.
Voor de villa ligt een grasveld met een dubbele oprijlaan. Dit open veld is aangelegd met gebruikmaking van de natuurlijke glooiing van de stuwwal uit de ijstijd, waarop de buitenplaats is gesitueerd. De dubbele oprijlaan is beplant met beukenbomen. In het veld, links voor aan de Eemnesserweg, staat een acacia. Aan de rechterzijde van het veld staat een bossage van rododendrons en coniferen. Links van de villa staat de oranjerie, met de voorgevel naar het zuiden, van de weg afgekeerd. Voor de voorgevel van de oranjerie bevindt zich een restant van de formele tuin, thans bestaande uit een grasveld omheind door heesters, zoals taxus. Eromheen en erachter is een restant van een aanleg met slingerpaden te herkennen. Een deel van de oude oprijlaan van de buitenplaats Rusthoek loopt door de noordoosthoek van het terrein, van de oprijlaan aan de Eemnesserweg, langs de achtergevel van de oranjerie, naar de Wilhelminalaan in het zuidoosten.
In de bosachtige aanleg aan de zuidoostzijde van het terrein ligt de schietbaan, die buiten de bescherming valt. Ten westen van de schietbaan ligt een heuveltje. Dit is een overblijfsel van een uitzichtpunt, waarop oorspronkelijk een theekoepel in oosterse stijl geplaatst was. Het weiland grenzend aan deze heuvel was oorspronkelijk begroeid met heide. Het stelsel van slingerpaden zet zich voort van de oranjerie tot achter het huis, achter een aarden wal die deze aanleg scheidt van de formele tuin. De aanleg is deels verstoord door een tweetal woningen die zijn gebouwd. Eén ervan ligt aan de Ferdinand Huycklaan, de andere meer in het midden van de aanleg. Het rechts achter de villa gelegen koetshuis wordt omgeven door een open stuk gras, dat oorspronkelijk als moestuin was aangelegd. Rechts van het koetshuis lag een siertuin met een plantenkas. De oprijlaan aan de rechterzijde van de villa splitst zich voor de dienstwoning in tweeën, in de richting van de villa en naar een achteruitgang aan de Ferdinand Huycklaan in het zuidwesten.
Achter het huis ligt een formele tuinaanleg. Deze voormalige rozentuin ligt verdiept en bestaat uit een rechthoekig grasveld met in het midden een vijver. De oorspronkelijke stervormige aanleg met paden is niet meer aanwezig. Het verdiept liggende gedeelte heeft aan de voor- en achterzijde vier coniferen. De tuin wordt omgeven door taxushagen. Achter de verdiepte rozentuin ligt een vijver met de plattegrond van een vierpasmotief. Dit tweede deel van de formele tuin wordt omgeven door een aarden wal, die de scheiding vormt met de landschappelijke aanleg.
Waardering
De tuin- en parkaanleg is van architectuurhistorische waarde als herkenbaar voorbeeld vanwege de mengstijl met historische deeltuinen en vanwege de binnen de aanleg vallende objecten.

The GARDEN and PARK layout of the country estate Benthuys was laid out between 1881 and 1921 in a mixed style and consists of a partly landscape, partly formal design. The garden architect is unknown.
In front of the villa is a grass field with a double drive. This open field was laid out using the natural slope of the ice-age moraine on which the country estate is situated. The double drive is planted with beech trees. In the field, on the left in front at the Eemnesserweg, stands an acacia. On the right side of the field stands a copse of rhododendrons and conifers. To the left of the villa stands the orangery, with its front facade facing south, turned away from the road. In front of the front facade of the orangery is a remnant of the formal garden, currently consisting of a grass field enclosed by shrubs, such as yew. Around and behind it, a remnant of a layout with winding paths can be recognised. Part of the old drive of the country estate Rusthoek runs through the north-eastern corner of the grounds, from the drive at the Eemnesserweg, past the rear facade of the orangery, to the Wilhelminalaan in the south-east.
In the wooded layout on the south-eastern side of the grounds lies the shooting range, which falls outside the protection. To the west of the shooting range lies a small hill. This is a remnant of a viewpoint, on which originally a tea pavilion in oriental style was placed. The meadow adjoining this hill was originally covered with heather. The system of winding paths continues from the orangery to behind the house, behind an earth embankment that separates this layout from the formal garden. The layout has been partly disturbed by two dwellings that have been built. One of them is located at the Ferdinand Huycklaan, the other more in the middle of the layout. The coach house situated to the right behind the villa is surrounded by an open patch of grass, which was originally laid out as a vegetable garden. To the right of the coach house was an ornamental garden with a plant house. The drive on the right side of the villa splits in two in front of the service dwelling, in the direction of the villa and towards a rear entrance at the Ferdinand Huycklaan in the south-west.
Behind the house is a formal garden layout. This former rose garden lies sunken and consists of a rectangular grass field with a pond in the middle. The original star-shaped layout with paths is no longer present. The sunken section has four conifers at the front and rear. The garden is surrounded by yew hedges. Behind the sunken rose garden lies a pond with the floor plan of a four-lobed motif. This second part of the formal garden is surrounded by an earth embankment, which forms the division with the landscape layout.
