Omschrijving complexonderdeel 9
Het aan de Davidsstraat gelegen blok ARBEIDERSWONINGEN (type 3) is opgetrokken op een rechthoekige plattegrond en telt één bouwlaag onder een met rode pannen gedekte schilddakvormige mansardekap. Op de nok bevinden zich drie schoorstenen. Het blok is symmetrisch van opzet en indeling en bevat zes woningen, die om twee gespiegeld zijn.
De symmetrisch opgezette voorgevel heeft op drie plaatsen een opgelicht dakschild. Deze drie geveldelen bevatten elk een dubbele ingangspartij onder een rollaag. Ter weerszijden van een in verticale baksteen gemetselde segmentboogvormige muurdam bevindt zich een recente voordeur met een schuin naar achteren geplaatst zijlicht. De tweede bouwlaag bevat een strook gepotdekselde delen waarin twee vierlichtsvensters zijn aangebracht. Het boeibord loopt naar beneden toe door en sluit aan op het kozijn dat zich in het één bouwlaag hoge deel van de voorgevel bevindt. Het woningblok heeft stedenbouwkundige waarde als onderdeel van een vrij gaaf en samenhangend complex woningen, gegroepeerd aan weerszijden van een enigszins gebogen weg.

The block of WORKERS' DWELLINGS (type 3) situated on Davidsstraat is built on a rectangular plan and consists of one storey under a hipped mansard roof covered with red tiles. On the ridge there are three chimneys. The block is symmetrical in layout and design and contains six dwellings, arranged in pairs around two axes of symmetry.
The symmetrically arranged front facade has an open roof section in three places. These three facade sections each contain a double entrance arrangement under a roll moulding. On either side of a segmental arch masonry wall constructed in vertical brickwork there is a recent front door with a sidelight placed at an angle toward the rear. The second storey contains a course of rendered brickwork in which two four-light windows are installed. The fascia board continues downward and connects to the window frame situated in the one-storey-high section of the front facade. This frame contains a composite window with a wide central section and narrow sidelights with fanlight. Above this is a gutter on corbels which turns at the corner.
The side facades have a single window at the corners below the gutter on corbels that runs from the front to the rear facade. In the second storey there is a four-light frame with double casement window. The facades are provided with ornamental wall anchors. Comparable to the front facade, the rear facade is built partly higher. The first storey contains a frame with a door and two windows. Three recent single-storey lean-to structures with flat roof are attached to the rear facade and fall outside the protected area.

The block of workers' dwellings is of general importance because of its cultural and architectural historical value as a good example of social housing with Amsterdam School characteristics by the architects Vorkink and Wormser from the first decades of the twentieth century. The housing block has urban planning value as part of a fairly intact and coherent complex of dwellings, grouped on either side of a slightly curved road.
