Omschrijving complexonderdeel 2
Het aan de Davidsstraat gelegen blok ARBEIDERSWONINGEN (type 2) is opgetrokken op een rechthoekige plattegrond en telt één bouwlaag onder een met rode pannen gedekte schilddakvormige mansardekap. Op de nok bevinden zich drie schoorstenen. Het blok is symmetrisch van opzet en indeling en bevat vier woningen, twee aan twee gespiegeld.
De symmetrisch opgezette voorgevel heeft op twee plaatsen een opgelicht dakschild. Deze twee geveldelen bevatten elk een dubbele ingangspartij onder een rollaag. Ter weerszijden van een in verticale baksteen gemetselde segmentboogvormige muurdam bevindt zich een recente voordeur met eens schuin naar achteren geplaatst zijlicht. De tweede bouwlaag bevat een gepotdekselde strook met twee vierlichtsvensters. Het boeibord loopt naar beneden toe door en sluit aan op het kozijn dat zich in het één bouwlaag hoge deel van de voorgevel bevindt. Dit kozijn bevat een samengesteld venster met een breed middendeel en smalle zijlichten met bovenlicht. Daarboven bevindt zich een dakgoot op klossen die om de hoek zwenkt.

The block of WORKERS' HOUSING (type 2) situated on Davidsstraat is built on a rectangular floor plan and comprises one storey under a mansard roof with a hipped-roof form, covered with red tiles. Three chimneys are situated on the ridge. The block is symmetrical in layout and arrangement and contains four dwellings, mirrored two by two.
The symmetrically arranged front façade has a locally raised roof section in two places. These two façade sections each contain a double entrance arrangement under a roll moulding. On either side of a segmental arch-shaped wall partition built in vertical brickwork is a recent front door with a side light placed at an angle to the rear. The second storey contains a strip of coping-tiled sections with two four-light windows. The fascia board runs downward and connects to the window frame situated in the one-storey high part of the front façade. This window frame contains a composite window with a broad central section and narrow side lights with a fanlight. Above this is a gutter on corbels which turns around the corner.
The side façades have a single window on the corners under the gutter on corbels running from the front to the rear façade. In the roof is a dormer window with a four-light window frame with double casement window. The rear façade is, comparable with the front façade, partially built higher. The first storey contains a window frame with a door and two windows. Two recent extensions under a flat roof have been added to the rear façade which fall outside the protection.
Valuation complex component 2
The block of workers' housing is of general importance because of its cultural and architectural historical value as a good example of social housing with Amsterdam School characteristics by the architectural duo Vorkink and Wormser from the first decades of the twentieth century. The housing block has urban planning value as part of a relatively intact and coherent complex of housing, grouped on either side of a slightly curved road.
