Inleiding
VILLA "De herrezen jager", gebouwd in 1920/1921 door W.M. Dudok in opdracht van de familie Willink. Het huis is ontworpen in de stijl van de Amsterdamse School en ligt aan de doorgaande weg tussen Hengelo en Enschede.
Omschrijving
VILLA op een samengestelde plattegrond, over één en twee bouwlagen opgetrokken in gele baksteen onder rieten schilddaken met keramische nokvorsten. Het dak heeft boven de west- en zuidgevel smalle langgerekte dakkapellen onder lessenaardaken.
In de gevels gemetselde sierbanden en rollagen. De hoofdmassa is evenwijdig aan de weg geplaatst en heeft op de begane grond en de verdieping vensterstroken met een horizontale roedenverdeling. Dwars hierop een lagere aanbouw met beschoten voorgevel. Hierin bevindt zich de entree in een portiek. Voor dit bouwvolume staat rechts van de entree een lager geplaatst bouwdeel met een om de hoek lopende vensterpartij met vertikale roedenverdeling. Tegen de linker zijgevel (O) een verlaagde aanbouw onder een zadeldak en met een centraal geplaatste uitspringende schoorsteen en smalle vensters onder de dakaanzet.
In de achtergevel (Z) op de begane grond terrasdeuren, geflankeerd door twee erkers met daarboven balkons in baksteen.

Villa van architectuurhistorisch en stedenbouwkundig belang:

VILLA on a composite plan, erected over one and two storeys in yellow brick under thatched hipped roofs with ceramic ridge crests. The roof has above the west and south facades narrow elongated dormers under catslide roofs.
