Inleiding

Gebr.

Storkplein

- vanwege de gaafheid van het exterieur

Introduction

RESIDENTIAL HOUSE, which is included in garden village 't Lansink, which was designed on the instructions of the Hengelosche Bouwvereniging which was founded in 1867 by the firm Gebr. Stork en Co. In the period 1911-1929 three phases of 't Lansink's designs were worked on by Karel Muller, P.H. Wattez and L.A. Springer. After 1945 A.K. Beudt and Van Broekhuizen added a final section to the garden village. The English garden villages served as a model for 't Lansink. In the architecture, alongside predominantly English influence, German elements are also present. In the Netherlands the garden village is unique thanks to the integrity of the present layout, green structure and architecture.

Description

The residential house stands at the C.T. Storkplein, the centre of 't Lansink. The residential house is built in one storey on a rectangular ground plan under an arched gabled roof with red Dutch tiles. The facades are built in red brick above a high rendered plinth. The bell gable (W) is cut off under a heavy moulded wooden cornice. The inset parts of the top are covered with wood.

The windows are located under cresting. The three twelve-pane windows on the ground floor in the front facade have lintels with a herringbone-bond arch shape and are furnished with louvered shutters. The three windows in the top originally had glazing bars. In the left side facade (N) there is a door with fanlight, in the rear facade (E) with six-pane fanlight.

Valuation

The residential house is of cultural-, architectural-historical and urban-planning importance:

- because of the spatial and functional relationship with the other components of 't Lansink

- because of the image-determining location at the C.T. Storkplein

- because of the integrity of the exterior
