Omschrijving
Het uit 1933 daterende HEILIG HARTBEELD staat vóór de pastorie van de HH Petrus en Pauluskerk op een sokkel van geruwd beton, die in zakelijk expressionisme is opgebouwd uit een groot rechthoekig blok met kleine blokken op de hoeken. Op het grote blok een identieke compositie op een iets kleinere schaal. In de sokkel is de volgende inscriptie aangebracht: "Allerheiligste hart van Jezus, Bescherm ons huisgezin". Het in symbolistische trant gestileerde beeld van zandsteen stelt Jezus Christus voor die met zijn armen wijd een zegenend gebaar maakt.
Waardering
Het Heilig Hartbeeld is cultuurhistorisch van algemeen belang als uitdrukking van het rijke Rooms-katholieke leven tijdens de bouwtijd.
In stedenbouwkundig opzicht is het beeld van algemeen belang vanwege de beeldbepalende situering in Reeuwijk-dorp en de functionele en ruimtelijke relatie met de overige onderdelen van het kerkcomplex.

Description
The SACRED HEART STATUE dating from 1933 stands before the rectory of the Church of Saints Peter and Paul on a pedestal of rough concrete, which is constructed in business expressionism from a large rectangular block with small blocks on the corners. On the large block an identical composition on a slightly smaller scale. In the pedestal the following inscription is engraved: "Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Protect our household". The sandstone statue, styled in a symbolic manner, depicts Jesus Christ who makes a blessing gesture with his arms wide open.
Valuation
The Sacred Heart Statue is of general importance from a cultural-historical perspective as an expression of the rich Roman Catholic life during the period of construction.
From an urban planning perspective the statue is of general importance because of its distinctive location in Reeuwijk-dorp and the functional and spatial relationship with the other components of the church complex.
The statue is intact.
