Omschrijving
SCHUUR, onderdeel uitmakend van het bij buitenplaats Elswout gelegen complex van dienstwoningen met schuur aan de Duinlustweg. De schuur oorspronkelijk in drieën gedeeld, behoort nu bij nummer 8. (De andere twee woningen hebben later een eigen schuur gekregen.) De schuur is gebouwd op rechthoekige plattegrond, opgetrokken uit gepotdekselde houten delen op een bakstenen plint in staand verband, en bestaat uit één bouwlaag onder zadeldak met zwartgeglazuurde rode Hollandse pannen; het dak was oorspronkelijk voorzien van goten.
De lange zijden worden doorbroken door enkele deur- en vensteropeningen. De westelijke zijgevel heeft een raampje in de geveltop; tegen de oostelijke zijgevel is een pomp geplaatst die mede onder de bescherming valt.

Description
BARN, forming part of the complex of service dwellings with barn located at country estate Elswout on the Duinlustweg. The barn, originally divided into three parts, now belongs to number 8. (The other two dwellings subsequently acquired their own barn.) The barn is built on a rectangular ground plan, constructed from rendered wooden parts on a brick plinth in running bond, and consists of one storey under a gabled roof with black-glazed red Dutch tiles; the roof was originally provided with gutters.
The long sides are interrupted by several door and window openings. The western side facade has a small window in the gable top; against the eastern side facade a pump has been placed which is likewise under protection.

The barn is of general importance from a cultural-historical and architectural-historical viewpoint as part of the complex of service dwellings with barn located at country estate Elswout on the Duinlustweg.
