Inleiding
Villa Blidenstede is gebouwd als buitenhuis in opdracht van de industrieel Duintjer. Het huis is gelegen in een royale tuinaanleg. Huis en tuin zijn ontworpen in de jaren '30. In de tuin staat een houten huisje dat voor bescherming van ondergeschikt belang is. De bescherming richt zich op het huis.
Omschrijving
Buitenhuis opgetrokken in baksteen over één bouwlaag vanaf een rechthoekige plattegrond met dwarsvolume en serre-uitbouw onder met riet gedekt schilddaken. De nokvorst van het dwarsvolume ligt hoger. Op de nok een sierijzeren windvaan/klokkestoeltje. Twee gemetselde schoorstenen. Alle oorspronkelijke vensters zijn behangen met luiken, voor de bovenlichten uitgevoerd als persiènnes, en hebben keramische raamdorpelstenen. Boven de vensters rollagen in het metselwerk.
De gevel aan de tuinzijde heeft centraal in het hoger opgaande en risalerende dwarsvolume een gemoderniseerde pui. Rechts hiervan een rondboog venster. In de zijgevel van het dwarsvolume een opgeklampte deur en een gemetselde borstwering. In het terugliggende geveldeel rechts een dubbelvenster en links een éénruits venster.
Tegen de rechterzijgevel een aangebouwde serre met een gemetselde plint, een houten opbouw van overnaads bevestigde delen onder een rieten kap met nokpannen. In de gevel rechts een zesruits venster met ladderroedenverdeling. In het dakschild een dakkapel met éénruits venster.
In de achtergevel vanaf rechts een opgeklampte deur, een vierruits en een tweeruitsvenster. In de gevel van het dwarsvolume eveneens een tweeruitsvenster. In de dakschilden twee dakkapellen met tweelicht vensters.
De linkerzijgevel heeft een blinde muur onder het lager doorlopende dakschild. In het schild een tweeruits dakkapel.

Country house built in brick over one storey from a rectangular floor plan with transverse volume and conservatory extension under hipped roofs covered with thatch. All original windows are provided with shutters, for the fanlights executed as venetian blinds, and have ceramic window sill stones. Above the windows coursing in the masonry.
