Inleiding
Boerderij van een afwijkend type met villa-achtige woonhuis. Gebouwd in 1937, in opdracht van L. Honning, landbouwer te Dalerveen, naar ontwerp van Tiesing en gebr. Schutruys (?) uit Borger-Valthe, in de stijl van de Interbellum architectuur.
Mede door de tuinaanleg heeft de boerderij vanaf de openbare weg het aanzicht van een villa. (In typologie vergelijkbaar, echter van een ander kaliber is Boerderij Berkenhoeve naar ontwerp van W. Hamdorff.
Omschrijving
Boerderij, bestaande uit een L-vormige, villa-achtige woning met haaks daarop het bedrijfsgedeelte, opgetrokken in baksteen over één bouwlaag, onder met geglazuurde hollandse pannen gedekte schilddaken. Vensters met zwaar raamhout. Ogeklampte luiken en deuren.
Het woongedeelte heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond. De entree bevindt zich in een overhoekse potiek, onder de gestutte hoek van het dak. In de gevel aan de straatzijde twee forse drielicht vensters, de zijlichten met glas- in-lood. In het dakschild een grote dakkapel met twee drielicht vensters. Op de nokeinden een schoorsteen. In de linkerzijgevel een tweelicht en een traphuisvenster, beide met glas-in-lood. Aan de achterzijde, uitkijkend op de U- vormige binnenplaats met bordes, een tweelicht venster.
Het bedrijfsgedeelte heeft aan de straatzijde rechts een inrit met korfboog, een opgeklampte loopdeur met vierruits op de punt geplaatst venster en twee vierruits stalvensters met stalen kozijnen zoals deze oorspronkelijk overal in de schuur waren toegepast.
De zijgevel aan de U-vormige binnenzijde heeft vanaf links twee maal een vierlicht van éénruits (oorspronkelijk stalern vierruits) stalvenstersvensters, twee opgeklampte deuren en twee vensters. De lange zijgevel aan de buitenzijde van het geheel heeft drie maal een vierlicht van stalvensters, waarvan één de oorspronkelijke vierruits roedenverdeling heeft.
Aan de achterzijde van het bedrijfsgedeelte links een schuifbaander, drie loopdeuren, drie éénruits stalvensters en onder het wolfeind twee maal drie éénruits stalvensters.

Farm of an unusual type with villa-like residential house. Built in 1937, commissioned by L. Honning, farmer at Dalerveen, designed by Tiesing and brothers Schutruys (?) from Borger-Valthe, in the style of Interbellum architecture.
Not least through the garden layout, the farm presents the appearance of a villa from the public road. (Comparable in typology, though of a different calibre, is Farm Berkenhoeve designed by W. Hamdorff.
Description
Farm, consisting of an L-shaped, villa-like dwelling with the business section at right angles to it, built in brick over one storey, covered with glazed Dutch-tile hipped roofs. Windows with heavy frames. Clamped shutters and doors.
The residential section has a rectangular plan. The entrance is situated in a corner vestibule, under the propped corner of the roof. In the facade facing the street two substantial three-light windows, the side lights with leaded glass. In the roof a large dormer with two three-light windows. On the roof ends a chimney. In the left side facade a two-light and a staircase window, both with leaded glass. On the rear, overlooking the U-shaped courtyard with a raised veranda, a two-light window.
The business section has on the street-facing side to the right an entrance with a basket arch, a clamped entrance door with a four-pane window placed at the apex and two four-pane stable windows with steel frames as these were originally used throughout the barn.
The side facade on the U-shaped interior has from the left twice a four-light of single-pane (originally iron four-pane) stable-window windows, two clamped doors and two windows. The long side facade on the exterior of the whole has three times a four-light of stable windows, one of which retains the original four-pane glazing bars.
On the rear of the business section to the left a sliding door, three entrance doors, three single-pane stable windows and under the half-hipped end twice three single-pane stable windows.
