Inleiding
Smederij, gebouwd in 1914 door H. Hesseling. In 1920 is een woning met winkel aangebouwd.
Erfbeplanting met keibestrating. In 1990 was de inventaris nog aanwezig.
Omschrijving
De smederij is opgetrokken in baksteen vanaf een rechthoekige plattegrond onder met friese pannen gedekt zadeldak. De tuitgevel aan de straatzijde heeft bakstenen sierwerk in de topgevel. Langs de rand een klimmend keperfries van pleisterwerk. In de straatgevel een inrijdeur met meerruits bovenlicht. De inrit bestaat uit twee gepaneelde glasdeuren met zestienruits roedenverdeling, in het midden vierkant, langs de randen smaller. Aan weerszijden van de inrit een ijzeren venster met segmentboog. Het venster is negenruits met een vijfruits bovenlicht met straalsgewijze roedenverdeling. Boven de inrit een zolderdeur met aan weerszijden zeslobbige roosvensters. In de zijgevel (O) vijf ijzeren vensters als in de straat gevel.
In de achtergevel rechts een ijzeren venster en in de geveltop twee roosvensters als aan de voorzijde. Verder een aanbouw onder lessenaardak.
De woning met winkel is opgetrokken in baksteen met een plint vanaf een rechthoekige plattegrond onder een met pannen gedekt afgeknot schilddak. Alle gevelopeningen zijn afgesloten door een latei met sierreliëfs. Het winkeldeel is gevat in een pilasterstelling van uitgemetselde baksteen met basementen en kapitelen van pleisterwerk. Aan de straatzijde centraal de entree; een glasdeur met gebogen roeden en bovenlicht. Aan weerszijden een grote winkelruit met bovenlicht. Boven de entree een dakkapel met dubbele zolderdeur en balkon.
In de linkerzijgevel heeft de winkel een even grote etalageruit als in de voorgevel. Verder drie schuifvensters en een verbindingsmuurtje met de smederij.
In de rechterzijgevel heeft de etalage de halve breedte van de voorzijde. Verder respectievelijk een schuifvenster, een venster ter grootte van het bovenlicht van het schuifvenster, een wc-raampje en ten slotte nog een schuifvenster.

Description
The smithery is constructed in brick from a rectangular floor plan under a gabled roof covered with Friesland tiles. The spout gable on the street side has brick decorative work in the gable top. Along the edge a climbing herringbone frieze of plasterwork. In the street facade a carriage entrance with multi-light fanlight. The entrance passage consists of two panelled glass doors with sixteen-light glazing bars, in the middle square, along the edges narrower. On either side of the entrance an iron window with segmental arch. The window is nine-light with a five-light fanlight with radial glazing bars. Above the entrance a loft door with on either side six-lobed ventilation windows. In the side facade (E) five iron windows as in the street facade.
In the rear facade right an iron window and in the gable top two ventilation windows as on the front. Furthermore an extension under lean-to roof.
The dwelling with shop is constructed in brick with a plint from a rectangular floor plan under a mansard roof covered with tiles. All facade openings are closed off by a lintel with ornamental reliefs. The shop part is set within a pilaster arrangement of built-up brick with bases and capitals of plasterwork. On the street side centrally the entrance; a glazed door with curved muntins and fanlight. On either side a large shop window with fanlight. Above the entrance a roof dormer with double loft door and balcony.
In the left side facade the shop has an equally large display window as on the front. Further three sash windows and a connecting wall with the smithery.
In the right side facade the display has half the width of the front. Further respectively a sash window, a window the size of the fanlight of the sash window, a wc window and finally another sash window.
