Inleiding
Voormalig veerhuis van 1835, verbouwd tot woning en horecagelegenheid in 1987. Beeldbepalend gelegen aan het Zuidlaarderkanaal.
Omschrijving
Veerhuis opgetrokken in witgeverfde baksteen vanaf een langwerpige plattegrond over één bouwlaag met plint onder een met hollandse pannen gedekt assymetrsich zadeldak. Het pand is met de lange gevel geheel geöriënteerd op de vaart.
De hoofdgevel heeft nagenoeg over de volle breedte een kroonlijst. Alle gevelopeningen zijn segmentboogvorming.
Het woongedeelte, links, heeft naast kroonlijst en plint geen verdere architectonische verbijzondering. Hier drie zesruits schuifvensters, tussen de linker twee een deur met bovenlicht. Geheel rechts twee gevelstenen met "het zuidlaarderkanaal en toebehoren ontworpen in het jaar 1768 is in 1834 daargesteld en op den 1 january 1835 voor het publiek geopend, onder het bestuur van mr. Louis Graaf van Heiden Reinestein, burgemeester, Egbert Bentum, Jan Ruiter, Jan lammerts Enting, Albert Bazuin, Roelof Schuiling, en Klaas Bavin, leden van den raad en onder directie en toezigt van Alle Pelinck" en "Gerenoveerd in 1987 heropend door ir. G.R.W. Kymmell burgemeester van Zuidlaren".
Het middenste deel, het publieke gedeelte, is gevat in een stelling van gemetselde blokpilasters. Voor het linker en centrale deel een bordes tussen haaks geplaatste borstweringen. In het linkerdeel een dubbele glasdeur met drieruits bovenlicht, aan weerszijden gekoppeld met een zesruits schuifvenster. In het centrale deel een vierruits venster met een tweeruits bovenlicht, gescheiden door een kalf. In het rechter deel een zesruits schuifvenster en een deur met bovenlicht.
Het staldeel is slechts gearticuleerd door een plint, de kroonlijst ontbreekt hier. Centraal een dubbele inrit met links een vierkant en rechts een rondboog stalvenster.
In de linker kopgevel enkele gewijzigde vensters. Aan de rechterzijde is een fietsenstalling aangebouwd. Aan de achterzijde is een gang gebouwd?

Voormalig veerhuis van cultuur-, architectuurhistorisch en stedebouwkundig belang:

Description
Ferry house constructed in white-painted brick from a rectangular ground plan over one storey with plinth under an asymmetrical gabled roof covered with Dutch tiles. The property is oriented with its long gable entirely towards the canal.
The main gable has a cornice running over almost the full width. All gable openings are segmental arch formation.
The residential section, left, has besides cornice and plinth no further architectural articulation. Here three six-pane sash windows, between the left two a door with fanlight. Far right two gable stones with "the Zuidlaarderkanaal and appurtenances designed in the year 1768 is in 1834 thereupon established and on the 1st january 1835 opened to the public, under the administration of mr. Louis Graaf van Heiden Reinestein, mayor, Egbert Bentum, Jan Ruiter, Jan lammerts Enting, Albert Bazuin, Roelof Schuiling, and Klaas Bavin, members of the council and under direction and supervision of Alle Pelinck" and "Renovated in 1987 reopened by ir. G.R.W. Kymmell mayor of Zuidlaren".
